Thrustmaster rudder pedals

I am looking at buying a set of thrustmaster rudder pedals until I can get what I want and was wondering if anyone is still using them on AH? Also can someone tell me if there are any problems with these using them with  XP?

Analog?

IIRC Thrustmaster peds are analog?

Not sure that a USB set are available?

Got a game port?

And you may need a joystick to hook the peds to.

There used to be a site that had software for setting up your analog peds.

Had a bit of software called rudder only????

I have an older set of Thustmaster ANALOG peds.

Might be interested in selling em.

Also have a complete CH setup ANALOG, stick, throttle, peds..........

The RCS pedals by thrustmaster I have seen are all game port so I am assuming they are analog. I have a game port on my sound card that I havn't used in a while. Right now I am using a wingman digital extreme usb until my saitek x45 shows up.

So would the thrustmaster pedals work through the sndcrd while I am using saitek x45?

how much are you guys asking for your pedals?

The joystick port will work with XP.  But if you upgrade to Vista, it will no longer be supported.

I do not see myself switching to vista anytime soon.    Dont like vista at all.    

I just spent most of the day awhile back taking vista off my laptop and installing xp on it. Took me awhile to track down all the drivers. Have to say that since I installed xp my laptop is a totally different machine.  

anyway I take it there should be no problems using a saitek x45 with the thrustmaster pedals correct?

WOA!

Hold on a minute!

YES there COULD be problems!

The pedals probably may NOT work, OR you may find you are unable to calibrate them......

without either connecting them to a joystick or software like rudder only and joyclick!

I have copies of the software and I got them from

AND while i was using a CHPro F16 fighterstick analog hooked up to my old rudder pedals, I was able to use a CHPro Throttle USB.

BUT NOTE that CH Products says they should not have worked together!

I don't know about Thrustmaster pedals, but I had a pair of CH analogs that I hooked up thru a gameport to USB converter plug I got a radioshack. The pedals were seen by WINXP, and I was able to calibrate in windows no problem. I used them for over a year as I slowly bought first a USB CH stick, then and USB CH throttle.

Analog is fine as long as you don’t mind big spikes, deadband and accurate gunnery.

I have a set of analog Thrustmaster rudder pedals which, like Fugitive, I converted to USB using a gameport to usb adaptor available from Radio Shack (I got this little thing years ago, and didn't see it in their online catalog when I checked recently - but this devices are still available from other suppliers).

I am currently using these pedals and a Saitek X45 - no problems to report.
