I have NOT been flying for about a week and came back last night... to get killed 3 times, bail once or twice, disco twice and land safely once but without kills. Totally out of it it wasn't even fun. In a way that's what is so great about this game, real skill matters and you have to keep current and keep maintaining those skills or they will be gone in a instant. Felt like a noob all over again, certainly flew like a noob...
...and came to the conclusion that I'm putting way too many frickin hours into work! It's just life eh...
Love the game though, never gonna give it up.

Tuesday's being the worst possible night to come back from a break, I am not surprised. There is no doubt you can lose your edge quickly in this game. A couple days off and it takes a couple more to get sharp again.
You got a outstanding pilot there
Ja. He's determined to succeed in the Irons.
So tempting...but the "Luftwaffe planes only" thing kills me
And there lies the rub, for many, including ourselves in a way. It's just not for everyone. Some guys come to us seeking a tight historical based unit that flies as a team, using tactics, patience, discipline, etc, and where the focus is on the fun of the fight, over the accumulation of real estate. Friends, even previous enemies, alike have come and really done well, and also contributed greatly to the overall force that is JG11. However, in the end it is a forgone conclusion that without the real, and sincere interest in, and dedication to the German planeset, or any like singular situation or planeset, the desire to fly other rides, do other things, outweighs the enjoyment of being part of such a unique and enjoyable unit, and their is a parting of ways, which is always painful for both the player departing and for the rest of the squad, as we are a very tight and closely knit group with strong bonds that form quickly. Sometimes we have found guys return, or even stay on regardless as they value the JG11 experience over the freedom to fly anything in the hanger, but they would be in the minority.
Banshee we have found a good rule to ask yourself when considering JG11, is
"Did I come to AH to fly Luftwaffe?" If the answer is yes, JG11 may be a great opportunity and a welcome and lasting home, but if not, most would be better of in the
Friends of JG11 category.

It's not better or worse, right or wrong, simply what we have chosen to do in AH.
I've been flying with these guys for roughly a week and I can honestly say I have never landed more kills in 1 week before I started winging with these guys.
Also, the amount I have learned about the game in general is pretty remarkable too.

Keep at it.
