Sir,
My name is Greg Shamburg and I am 48 years old retired USAF. I have been flying aces high for about four years off and on. I have had many game ID's (Thanks to my son) my current one is Huskey39. Typically I have only flown USAA aircraft but lately I have taken a liken to BF-109F and FW-190A8. I am looking for a squad that discipline, flies together and fights as a unit. I am not into the score thing and I have a high value for the Wing and it's integrity and responceablity to it. Your squad looks like a good operation and would love to hear more.
Thank you
Hello Greg.
Thank you for your service. <S> Many vets currently in the 11th.
Thank you for your interest in JG11. Check out
www.JG11.org for some more info. Though the site has not been updated for some time, the basics are outlined...like the fact that we stick to Luftwaffe/Italian planes only in the Late War Arena. Members may fly anything in the Mid and Early. We also draw non German planes when FSO takes us to the Pacific. Don't concern yourself with scores. In the 11th you will find some of the best guys in the game to fly with, all willing to take the time to help in any way needed. Teamwork, professionalism, integrity, and esprit de corps are the cornerstones of the unit.
FSO, Scenarios, and any other historically based operations are what we enjoy the most, and strive to honorably portray the men who flew in those desperate missions. If you have a real interest in the WWII airwar, particularly the Luftwaffe, you may find a great opportunity here. Squad night is on Tuesdays and we usually meet in the TA at around 8:30 PM est for some warm ups before moving to the Main, to conduct operations as a unit. Please tune vox 111 on the Knight side next time you are online, and begin winging up with the guys, to see if you and us are all interested in continuing along the path to membership.
<S>
See ya up.
Stampf.
