No the little suckers ran backwards and pulled all the juice out of the battery or wore out the wires cuz wires are designed to have the electrons only run one way.

Or the fact that out of nowhere on a ride your ignition would stop sparking, or blow a coil, burn a point, just stop working at all.

we would be tooling along on the expressway at 60-70 mph and suddenly the engine would lose power and sputter dead.  no electricity.  at night the headlights would just power down but all the other lights would work.  those sort of problems.
