I love these threads! Who pays 15$ to join a flight sim and comes on line to chat? Has anyone ever seen me chat in AH? Anyone? If someone is annoying or beaking off to me I use .squelch XXXXXXXXX. Done, it's over.

Age is absolutely irrelevant. Betty has it right, this is the internet, you need to monitor what your child is doing. You can't wait until an incident has happened before taking action. You also can't expect the community to be mature, again, it's the internet.

We have young people in our squadron, that behave quite well. They don't talk trash, they give 6 calls, and are very respectful of everyone.
Good parenting I think is involved.

I've seen silat make some slightly off color comments, but nothing that would make an 8 yr old blush. Make an 8 yr old go "Huh, whats the ?" but not blush. What he was trying to do, as he usually does so very well, was defuse the situation. And for this your blaming him?

This can ONLY be because you have something against silat.

If you really had a leg to stand on, you'd of gone straight to HT with this.
They'd of checked the logs, and if Silat had been in the wrong he'd of been dealt with, quickly, quietly.

But you knew that wasn't going to work.

So you brought it here instead.
