While i was driving today the K band on my radar detector went off. No police officer in sight, but about a mile away two F-15s had just turned facing me on their base leg into Otis.. as they turned final, i stopped getting the K band.. would it be likely that I was picking up their radar?

When the Air Guard was flying F4's, there was a VN era vet who was getting great scores when flying against newer AF airplanes and pilots.

Turns out he had his Escort radar detector in his cockpit and when f-15 / 16's tried to lock on, his detector picked it and he jinked.  They never could get a lock on him.

The DoD tried to buy a bunch of Escorts, and sent MIL spec forms to Escort.

The owner looked at the box of paper he had to fill out, he told the AF that the detectors were available at Target, Schucks, Pep Boys, and retail outlets nationwide.

Escort makes cordless. No cig lighter needed.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

But the cordless K/Ka pickup is crap. I tried one, it was about 1/5th as strong as the corded model :)
