Reno Air Races
« on: August 23, 2007, 12:14:50 AM »
Gents,

I'll be in attendence on Saturday and Sunday for the final two days of the air races.  As a resident of the great city of Reno, just thought I'd put the word out for anyone planning to attend.  I'd like to set up a place to meet on either day for those that will be there.  Since we're only 3 weeks away, I thought I'd start polling the masses.  I may even be able to set up some relative close, free parking--more details on that later.

Shoot Stoney, I didn't realize you were just over the hill.

Have to figure out a time to get over there with HB555 and you.

Air Races has potential.

I'm flying up from Hawaii, as a family friend is flying a biplane in the races.

Be glad to say hi, but I'm a squeaker, not sure you'd want to see me ;)

I'd buy you a Coke from the Marine Corps League Tent, and try to talk you out of wearing that blue business suit the Air Force tries to substitute for a uniform...:aok

I have a house about 5 miles from the Stead airport and usually have a BBQ every year for the Air Races.

I will let you all know if I do have one this year.  We just bought a new house, we now live North of the Stead airport instead of South of it.  As it gets closer we should definitely all meet somewhere.

You know that your landing gear is up and locked when it takes full power to taxi to the terminal

Say Hi to Lt. Dangle Stoney!

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.
