These new tanks are correct for the P-47 and P-51 (75 gallon), but are incorrect for the P-38s. The old P-38 tanks were correct. Please revert to the older tanks for the Lightnings.

P-38 tanks (165 gal) were commonly used on P-47s too...
75 gallon aluminum or steel tanks were commonly used on P47s and P-51s, but
never on P-38s as they would tumble and hit the horizontal stabilizer.
