Well, if someone doesn't want to be my friend just based on smacktalk in a video game, then you're right, I probably wouldn't like them to begin with!  I haven't met an AHer yet, in real life, that I don't consider a friend.

Even though I don't generally like the way you ummm, converse sometimes with people.  It has taken a long time, which is sad, to realize you are not as 'bad' or malicious as some, or as you might first appear.  Still, for me, doesn't excuse the behavior because you do like to ride a fine line, occasionaly, crossing from one side to the other.

Still, your somewhat in the category I'm refering to, though a lessor evil than many, and I just don't understand the attitude, except as I've aready described it.  What I don't think people with this kind of attitude and behavior realize is, in the long run it marginalizes them.

Whether you believe it or not, there are good people, future friends, good times, that you could have had that you won't because of your nature.  This may mean nothing to you as I'm sure you feel you have all the good friends you'll ever need, and you may be right.  But when we lay ourselves down to die, the truth is, for all of us, could have been just a little bit better.
I assume that the other poster has a smile on his face as I do with most of the stuff I post.  in any event even as adults sometimes word play will turn into a fisticuff if competition is involved like in a game of pickup basketball at the park or something.  words like show me what you got and you ain't got watermelon soon become elbows being thrown and then a fight.  it's part of being male, sadly it's a part that the twidgets and effiminates that govern our society simply do not abide and it saddens me.

my very best friend today is a man who started out as a bitter opponent who used to show up on the courts every day until one day it came down to fists.  that was twenty years ago and occasionally we still wrestle if we argue for a bit.  fun stuff.

Just to stay on topic (which I apologize for NOT doing so far), this Bio film idea is beyond great AND well done.  Wish I'd thought of it.

As for Mr. Lynx, well when I first started the game, 2 years or so ago and was being trained in the old DA by many of the best pilots, he was one of a handful who were touted as the best sticks in the game.  I was told, if you ever encountered him in the MA and knew it, you should haul out the pink slip to your aircraft, hand it to him, and walk away.  Quietly.  lol

I have always respected his skill in just about anything gets up in.  He was never terribly friendly across countries, so I've never gotten to talk to him, or learn anything about him, so this film has been a great eye opener.  Heck, someday I may actually like getting shot dowm by the guy.

But most importantly, I now know he is of the brotherhood. lol  Someday I'll post a pic of my ride.  2000 Heritage softail, with 95" cammed plant and 6speed box for cruising.  And it cost way more than $20K.

P.S. Lynx, I almost started doing the same thing back when, shipping Harleys over to Europe.  Looked very lucretive. Unfortunately, circumstances concerning a bit of a war got in the way.

Yea, Storch, I try to do the same thing.  I usually make a bland comment back offering the opportunity to turn it all into 'obviously' friendly banter.  I just don't rise immediately to most bait on 200, which is a good thing.

I just consider it the oblication and responsibility of the writer/talker to make it plain to their 'listener' what there intention is, at to do it early.  As I said before, many start their antics purposely in 'aggravation' mode, to see what kind of response they get.  It's only later, or afterwards in here, they try to excuse or justify the behavior to avoid condemnation or whatever.

There are just some people for whom it is obvious the fun is in the pain, and are too cowardly to just admit it.

If you enjoy spending most of it dodging bullets and sleeping in the hospital (the ear was actually the least of it), yea.  I've actually had better times. LOL

When they do, I will post the 4 minute film of me on the deck with them in a K-4 dodging HO after HO pass from spits and lalas and nik's, as I chase their XO back under his saftey net of newb HO twits and then politely reversing the hell out of them for the rest of the doomed sortie!  :aok
