This series came about because of an idea yanksfan (DON ) an old squadie friend of mine had. He knew I was interested in the filming and the skin side of the game and after we talked I could see this could be a real interesting project. Let me say straight off the bat that this is NOT designed to glorify a few select players but more to humanise those colorful players we always see on the boards. We felt that others might find it interesting to know a little bit more about other players in the game. Of course some of those players are also very skillful  and thats to be expected but that is not a provisor of us making a bio of them. I personally can think of quite a few players that if asked would describe themselves at best as average but in the game they have character and thats what we want to capture. For instance I think I should have one posted as I am the #1 bait in the game LOL. I cant fly a kite let alone a plane...I only fly to make people laugh. IIf there are enough p eople that are intersted to make it worth while I would approach HTC and see if there is a way we could link these to a spot on the forum boards. I say this as I woulkd like to think that in the future new players could look back and see some of these.Another idea I had was that I would start an email list if you guys thought it was a good idea. All you would need to do is supply me with you email address and you would get notified when a new bio was out. We have a list of guys and squads we would like to work with but are always open to suggestion. Also the rumour that if you kill either of us stops you getting a bio is completely false. You just have to pay a small fine. Thanks for all the input so far guys JDJNR

Already touched base with yanksfan, would like to join your little series if you will have me. Let me know what I need to do/supply you with.

Regards,
Kjetil

LYNX has always been one of my favorites to have around in Rookland.   We'd rip on Astone and his many shades accounts.

LYNX and I have had our moments, but it is more or less due to the fact that we are similar.   We like communication, when we don't get it, we get agitated.   Little does he know I'm part Scottish (MacGregor and a blood descendant of Rob Roy), so that probably has something to do with it.

Awesome video guys.   LYNX has ALWAYS been a standup guy to me, and is a riot to have on range channel.

I have already talked to yanksfan and will be doing a video.

You have to understand the bike scene is way different over here in the UK.  Prolly changed in late 50's when Brit cafe racers were prominent.  With the decline of British motorcycle manufacturing the Japanese stepped up to the plate in the early 70's with things like the Honda 750 4 and the Kawasaki Z900.  The first of many super bikes.

British motorcycling is dominated by speed to this day.  OK you have the cruiser and retro types but the vast majority ride plastic head down arse up rice rockets.  The typical guy is all in one leathers with matching helmet + matching girly.  Not at all like me good old days.  Ripped jeans, faded leather and a "can I make this corner" attitude lol.  I personally like speed and have done 155MPH on the Warwick bypass lol.  There's stuff out there off the shelf that'll do 211 MPH.......man that would be a giggle.

Me... I have a collectible 1979 Kawasaki Z650 C3.  It was my late fathers.  It's in very good condition with just 37,00 miles but I ain't coughing out 500 quid for a stand 4 into 2 exhaust system.

Japanese motorcycle are very much the norm here.  A top of the range HD is any where between 10,000 to 15,000 quid.....that's 20 to 30k Dollars with today's exchange rate.

Aren't the latest Triumphs getting more of the Brits' attention?  They sure kick bellybutton more than cookie-cutter JPN superbikes.

Everything you said is true, but you didn't say everything.  It's hard to want to meet a person who purposely acts like a <> from the get go, and seems to enjoy taunting, insulting, and annoying people as much as they do playing the game.

These people trying to make out that it's "just Muppet humor" and it's our fault for getting upset.  While it is just a game, it is real people using their real time trying to enjoy themselves.  Nobody takes kindly to being insulted, put down or marginalized for any reason, at any time.

The personalities who get great joy out of "griefing" others is a damaged one, to a greater or lessor degree.  They have found a haven in the Intardnet due to it's relative anonimity which allows them to behave in ways they would never survive face-to-face with someone the real world.

Once knowing this nature, these are not people I would quickly want to get to know if I had a choice.  That's just my opinion.

And for the record, Skyrock is not the worst of these kind of people, or just not the most malicious.  However, he is the most vociferious and otherwise just a minor annoyance.  If he knew how little most players really think of him, EVEN a couple of his closer friends...  he probably still wouldn't give d*m.

You'd be suprised just how much you can get away with saying in the real world.  I've found people are split fairly evenly 50/50 between those who can take a rough joke and those who can't.  Neither seems to have much respect or sympathy for the other group.

:rofl :lol :rofl

1.  I do think it's hilarious when a player hovers above you and finally makes one pass to miss and run like a baby for 2 sectors then I call him out on it.  I find it very enjoyable.  Just plain humorous to me!!!

2.  Your perception of griefing may not be what mine is or someone elses.  And the old "you wouldn't say that in RL" is a load of BS, because I have and will.

3.  My closest friends are exactly that, one's that take the good and the bad and are loyal to the end!  Maybe you just think you know some of my closest friends.  Either way, I OWN you!:aok

Very true.  The problem is, here I can't 'see' that someone is making a joke as easily as I can in the real world.  That's why there are mechanisms such as emoticons, to convey the tone, attitude or intention of the writer.  The people I'm talking about don't generally use them, at least not in the beginning of there tirade.  Therefore, one can only assume they are purposely try to aggravate or annoy you (i.e. spoil your fun by getting you irritated, if they can), then giggling behind their screen at your discomfort. Unless they let you know early enough that they are 'just kidding around', which these clowns don't.  It's actually very revealing of people's true personalities.

I have met many people online and in real life, who take great pleasure in making pointed jokes and verbal jabs, even (and possibly especially) at friends, enjoying the power they think it gives them, right up to the point you face them down asking what the *@%*$! did they mean by that.

At that point, the cowards usually backpedal saying 'I was just kidding.  Don't be so serious. I didn't mean noth'in", essentially trying to avoid the blame and consequences of the confrontation by putting it on you, while secretly enjoying your discomfort.  These people are 'mean-spirited', as are all and anyone who first meets or speaks with someone new, in any venue, with a negative or derogatory word.

In here, the lose me as a friend (which I'm sure they don't care), in the real world they lose teeth.

SkyRock -

I used the muppet reference only as a general example of what I was trying to point out, not as a direct attack against you or the muppets.
Even though I don't generally like the way you ummm, converse sometimes with people.  It has taken a long time, which is sad, to realize you are not as 'bad' or malicious as some, or as you might first appear.  Still, for me, doesn't excuse the behavior because you do like to ride a fine line, occasionaly, crossing from one side to the other.

Still, your somewhat in the category I'm refering to, though a lessor evil than many, and I just don't understand the attitude, except as I've aready described it.  What I don't think people with this kind of attitude and behavior realize is, in the long run it marginalizes them.

Whether you believe it or not, there are good people, future friends, good times, that you could have had that you won't because of your nature.  This may mean nothing to you as I'm sure you feel you have all the good friends you'll ever need, and you may be right.  But when we lay ourselves down to die, the truth is, for all of us, could have been just a little bit better.

Yes, as a matter of fact I am.  Not to say it's never happened or couldn't happen again, that I might lose, but the percentage of probability is decidedly low.  I belong to that 1 or 2% of humanity that has, both as a matter of personal survival and profession, followed a martial way from as young as I can remember.

Very first rule I ever learned is, there is always, always somebody better.  But because of what I've lived through and done, fortunately there just ain't many.   However, I am getting older and slowing down, so who knows. :)

Second rule is never start a fight, or challenge a man into a corner unless you want one.  So I won't take this any farther, other than to say my previous statement about 'confronting' someone was intended to say I would always make the attempt, no matter who it was, should they behave that way to my face.  Luckily for me, I still have all MY teeth and a straight nose.  One ear is a little chewed on, but that is another story.
