A Father's Bedtime Song
« on: August 24, 2007, 07:47:44 AM »
I first saw this on Break two nights ago and emailed the link to my sister and brother-in-law (both musicians).  They loved it and had great comments.  Last night I wanted to listen to it again but unfortunately that page is now a 404 - Page Not Found Error and couldn't find it.  A Google search showed that 37 web pages had already linked to it in only 24 hours of being online; but it was gone.  Occasionally clips are pulled from Break if they are threatened by a copyright infringement.  The funny thing about that one is that the clip was clearly a home movie, in the guy's home.  It's hard to imagine how he or his wife were not the ones who sent it in...  Perhaps a friend sent it in without permission.  Look at how trashed that room is… mom maybe made him pull it due to the messy room!

Anyway, a bit more searching with different keywords and I found another copy; if you are a parent check it out: http://www.glumbert.com/media/bedtimesong

ahhh... lyrics put to Pachelbel's Canon.

It's one of my all time favorite pieces and to hear and see it coupled with the words of a father's love is wonderful...  :cry

Thank you for sharing that, Eskimo...

Wonderful !
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Here is a beautiful rendition of Johann Pachelbel's wonderful song in D Major.

It always brings tears to my eyes to hear it...

De Beers would be very happy to hear you say that!
I'm not sure Johann Pachelbel would be too happy though.
