I dont know why but  i cant seem to land that dang corsair especially
since i dont use my tailwheel.......
my keyboard is messed up so i cant put my flaps down for landing so i land 2-wheeled. Pressing the nose down the whole landing its pretty tough tough 2 do but it the only way i can land so oh well. but still that corsair doesent want to land!
(so i use a 109)
Also the corsair has cannons and the 109 has mg and cannons so its eassier to hit people.But the corsair (If you dont know thats the F4Us)
Can take a bigger beating which Should I pick any suggestions?

I think Keyboards can be purchased for about 10 bucks, or just map your flaps to your J/S.  anyways, here's a suggestion or two as well.

1. get under 150 IAS and belly land(very dicey on a CV)

2. When you can get your flaps down, upon touchdown @ low speed(about 125 or so) pull back on the stick(this will lock your tailwheel) and immediately engage your wheel brakes.  Practice in the TA so you won't lose perks.  I used to have an X52 and i made the slider my wheel brakes, I would have them engaged b4 I touched down(this helps especially if flying a 262 or 234.)

Pretty soon you will get the hang of it and it will become second nature.

Feel your pain, my flaps are mapped on my joystick, but when I press it, I need to jerk it very hard down and that usually messes up my landing angle:D

try turning off combat trim,when you deploy flaps CT gives full up elevator trim making you fight this during landing.With CT turned off it's much eazier to lock tail wheel with alittle back pressure on your stick.

Landing the hog is not that difficult, as Soultkr has already pointed out you can use your keyboard for flaps and gear.

Just get slowed up I usually like to come over the threshold at about 100 mph or a little slower flaps all out let the plane settle towards the runway at about 20 ft I pull the stick back ( this does two things, it slows you down even more, and it locks the tailwheel) just before you touchdown the plane should stall resulting in a three point touchdown.  Apply brakes until you come to a stop, but be careful if you hit the brakes too hard initially you will nose over and bend the prop. And yes turn off combat trim before landing.

Just on a side note and this applies to all planes the stick controls attitude, the throttle controls altitude.

I wouldnt think turning combat trim off makes that big of a difference. I land just fine with it on.. just seems like one more thing you have to mess w/ while landing..

The F4U does not like undisciplined pilots.

Turn off CT on approach, once everything is down and dirty hit the period key once to reset your trim. Tames any hawg, and seems to damp out that tendancy to ground loop.

Still need 1/4 back stick to lock the tailwheel once your slow enough.

Landing Corsairs takes practice.  

And never call a Corsair dumb, they are a fantastic piece of aeronautical engineering

It does have a tendency to want to ground loop but its easy to correct once on the ground use rudder and differential braking. Im not saying your wrong but i still dont see how turning combat trim off would help with landing/ infamous ground loop

Actually jim it makes a HUGE difference. One you start dropping flaps CT starts to trim the nose EXTREMELY high, and can induce stalls.

i've noticed it too
when i try and land it wants to drift one way or another
try using some ailron along with some rudder, that's what i end up having to do
