Multiple Gunners ON-Board

I wish for the ability to have not 1 person gun in my plane, but have all the guns positions on a bomber slots for others to join in.I think it would be a great deal of fun and disabling the external views for the gunners would make it even more fun, by having to use team work and VOX to find the targets.

Just a Wish.

I would love to see this put into the game! Would make Bombing a base alot easier and funner. However, when someone is gunning and they fire all the guns on all the bombers fire. So if one gunner is shooting at someone and another gunner is shooting another way how do all the guns react?

If you have this, this is what will happen.

You log onto an arena. You get up in a B17. You invite some of your squadies, until you have a full (or almost full) B17. You fly into the center of a furball. No more furball. Deathstar, as said above.

I believe the buff guns as they are now are more deadly than having a fully manned 17.  If you had a fully manned ship, all the guns would not fire at the same target as they do now, thus increasing the amout of attacker survivability.  I will say that we should all be glad "otto" is not implimented in AHII like in WB, that "otto" makes possible for true deathstars because he is truly super accurate and all guns converge on you with said super accuracy.

Thats not going to happen folks. Hitech has explained it several times.
Networking code is quite different here from AW or WB. One of the limitations to that (as I understand it) is only 2 in a plane.

Now I'm not a much of a "buff"er but maybe perhaps they could allow the one gunner to control one gun, and also allow the pilot to man a gun. Thats 2 per plane.

As to which guns point where?

The gunner has the priority. Any gun which can aim at where the gunner is aiming will do so. Any remaining gun can aim at where the pilot is aiming.

For e.g., If both pilot and gunner are aiming the same way from top and tail turrets, then all guns (except pilot's tail gun) would be controlled by gunner. However, if the gunner was in tail and pilot in nose, then all top and tail guns would be controlled by gunner and all nose guns would be controlled by pilot.

No?:)

The way it is now if a gunner joins, and jumps to one of the drones. Then the pilot can man his own guns, and you have 2 guys fireing.

If gunner is new, doesn't know how to switch it locks pilot in the cockpit.
Which is partly why more people don't accept gunners.

Wow! Didn't know that. Thanks!:aok  This game never ceases to amaze me. So, just out of curiosity, in that case, which guns does the gunner control and which guns does the pilot control? All on individual plane? If so then who's controlling the other drone's guns?:)

They won't react. The only guns that will fire are the ones that are manned.

I see this way too often in the wishlist forums (and other forums as well).  Someone makes a suggestion and instead of supporting it, giving constructive critisism, or just keeping their mouth shut, they flame the guy who made it and tell them to quit or go play another sim.  I bet HTC loves it when you refer their business elsewhere.

BTW this isn't meant as a direct insult to you Krusty just using your quote as an example, as I've said I see alot of this.

I'd bet that when someone pays 15 dollars a month for the ability to play a game, they'd like their ideas at least looked at by the developers.

Of course for the rest of us people who read the ideas, we could be a lot nicer about our replies when telling someone that their idea has been discussed already and dismissed or explained away.

That being said, i say NO way to allowing multi gunners in the aircraft. It would give a huge advantage to bombers to load up on crew and just fly into the nearest dogfight and use its 8 50 cal or more machine guns to its advantage. Each gun firing in a different direction and at another potential target would not be fun if you were on the recieving end of a deathstar B-17 or B-24.

It's absurd to the point of TROLLING (against forum rules, by the way) to request this.

It's so pervasive EVERYWHERE that you would have to be a total reject not to know the majority response to it.

Anybody that requests "death stars" or "nukes" or "b29s" are trolls, forum shades (so their "real" account -- if they have one -- isn't banned, just in case).

There's less than 0.000000001% chance this was a legitimate request, where the poster did NOT know better.

In that regard, I give no respect, and I give no courtesy. So sue me.

If your so convinced it's a troll then why did you get baited by it?  Why did you bother posting?  I don't care what your excuse is, to flame someone for something they wish for is pure arrogance.   If you think it was a troll then just leave it be and let the thread die; if you think the person is new than  explain why you and many others feel it's not a good idea for AH, or (as Ghosth did) explain why  the gaming code won't allow it, instead of making a pointless post that just makes you look like an oscar.

Sorry for the hijack.  As far as manning all the guns in a bomber goes, it can be tons of fun, I remember doing it a few times in WB (and no we didn't fly into a furball just to "use a death star", in fact I never saw this happen).  However as stated above HTC has their reasons for not making the bombers that way.
