Aces High / High Tech

If this is not too confidential, how many new players do we see come in every month ?
What is the peek period ?

Anyone ?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for anyone in HTC to answer that ... way too confidential.

They generally don't share the business details (not even "how many subs are there total?")

First off accept that you'll never get a hard answer.

Second, it depends on a lot of factors.

Like when did the last TV ad air on the discovery channel.
Add into the complexity that maybe only half ever log into the TA when a trainer is around to point them in the right direction.

I've seen times when I'd see 40 - 80 new names a week. X 4 for the month, plus all the ones that went straight to main that I didn't see.

There are also times when it slows down that its down to perhaps 2 or 3 new guys a night, x 7 for 15 - 20 a week.

Also its hard to know how many of those subscribe, how many drop after their 2 weeks. How many just pop into the TA a couple of times, then start flying in main.

The good news, even during a lull, there is a constant trickle of fresh meat for the table.

Right now I think we are averaging about 1 to 2 an hour for primetime showing up in the TA asking the typical newbie questions.

The question was asked due to simple curiosity only !
I will admit that at this time I'm recruiting for Canadian pilots and was wondering how many or what would be the pourcentage of players that are Canadians that log on to the game per month ....

Here in Canada, to all the "flight sim" people I meet never heard of ACES HIGH !  :(
I do have BELL EXPRESS VU satelite dish for TV but never I've seen a commercial on ACES HIGH yet !
I am a FAN of the HISTORY / DISCOVERY chanels and still never seen any advertising !!!

More input guys ?

Phil

I've often wondered if they should try selling a very reasonably priced "Boxed Set" of AH in retail stores.  Like they'd have to make some offline content etc., but it would be a great "hook" for getting more "mainstream" people into the game.  I know Airwarrior did this, and I seem to remember Warbirds might have done this as well for a very short time....  Maybe they'll do this with Combat Tour...

purchasing a  King Air 350, it's a safe bet that business is pretty good these days :rofl
