I just got a camera(Meade DSI) for my telescope and I took some pictures of the moon. They came out a little fuzzy. Does any one know of a photo editing tool that can help make them more clear?

Note: I already used contrast and brightness

If it was taken blurry (out of focus or unsteady mount) no plugin will make it unblurry. Them's the breaks.

Nice that you can do that, though!

i did a few moon shots with my 350D when i first got it..

of you have access to CS3 a plugin called "noise ninja" will do alot to remove the noise cause by the high ISO used for low light shooting..

also if you have a shutter lock up option that will help the blurryness. (assuming your camera has the option)

There's no program out there that can correct that much blurriness in a photo.  The photo editors just don't have enough 'in focus' data* to work with to make the image sharper.  If you have Photoshop you can try the Unmask Sharpen filter.  Play with the settings there a bit.  But, honestly, you're not going to see very good results.

If you're going to try the telescope thing again, set the camera in 'close-up' mode.  Usually a button or icon of a flower.  I believe this will solve your problem because what the camera is focusing on is very close (the lens piece).  Correct me on any details.

This is what the Meade DSI looks like (Note: the glassy lookin thing on top is a filter and not part of the camera itself):

And this is what the program screen looks like:

thats actually very nice,

are you in the city or out in the country.  in your in a large town, try to get out into the sticks and take some shots, they will be MUCH better.

I'm not really in the city. I'm in the suburbs around Philadelphia. There is a street light in from of my house, which can get very annoying at times, but I was in my back yard. I turned off all the censor lights so they wouldn't turn on when I walked out. There isn't that much light in my back yard, except for maybe a light turned on in a window of someones house. :aok

How well does it take pics through windows? :D
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I fixed my last image up a bit so the craters are sharper. I also cropped the image to get rid of some of that annoying light pollution.

Still a little blurry yet it's very clear on the outer parts of the moon. Looks very nice!:D
