With latest patch, still no functionality. But it does show the correct skins for folks flying around you, instead of the default skins.

We're stuck in Fisheye Hell™ until this gets fixed. :(

Yea, I can make some things in FOV work when you initially instantiate the film viewer. It'll use whatever setting you had it at, lets say if the FOV tab was in the middle when you opened it previously. Of course, in that session it would not show any difference. But if you close the film viewer, and then press Z, it'll show the FOV as related to the value you set it to but was not displayed in the viewer you opened before.

Yep.  Alas -- without FOV use in film viewer, I can't make as nice pictorials of scenarios like before.  I hope they fix it soon.

I found a way partially around this problem.  (At least a work around on my setup.)  It is clumsy, but here's what I do.  I jump to internal view, then tap "z" for zoom, then use the "[" and "]" keys to zoom in and out.  Then I jump to external view.  Now field of view is zoomed (and I can toggle it with "z"), and I can use the distance-zoom slider for a limited range of distance.  If you touch the FOV zoom slider, however, it will jump back basically to unzoomed state no matter what the slider is set to, and you can't get any zoom back by playing with it.

I hope they fix FOV zoom in the next release, but until then, that's how I've been dealing with it.

Thanks, Brooke... I can get that to work a little for me.

Something else, watching the DGS footage... I thought the film viewer was supposed to show the actual skins now, not the defaults only...?

With the skins loaded into the Der Grosse Schlag (rhinewin) terrain, and once my AH program has synched with the terrain to get the skins it needs, the film view now shows correct skins it seems (at least for bombers I was looking at).
