Next Tour

With the next tour right around the corner I am going to try an experiment.  I want community input to help me deicde which path to follow.

Option 1:
Do nothing but HO.  Pick all the great HO planes and do absolutely nothing but HO people the entire tour.  If I come in on your 6, I will wait until I can get around on you and HO.  

Option 2:
Be a dweeb...  Ho, vulch, pick.  Never engage unless I can do one of those three or start with an 8k alt advantage where I can zoom in attempt to kill in one pass and get the heck outta dodge.

Option 3:
Be a dedicated milkrunner.  Do nothing but up heavies to hit undefending strat target.  Or demolish fighter hangers from 30k at any furball island/fighter town and do the same to V-hangers at tank towns.

Option 4:
Armchair General.  Go to the most heavily contested base get on VOX and do nothing but shout the most pointless, counterproductive orders possible.

Sounds like half the players in the MA.  

Many of the top 10 ranked players, #2 is their mainstay.  But of course, that's what WWII pilots did in RL.  It worked then, and it works in the game.

Regardless of which option you choose, film your sorties, and save the text buffers for a film at the end of the tour.  I'd suggest using Aqua's "Barbie Girl," as the background song.  Instant classic

Go with number 2, but avoid the HO and concentrate on the pick, throw in some vulches when conditions are right. But also be ready for the odd dogfight when an enemy spots you picking and comes in even higher than you are. Don't get cought up in the furball, rather play the edges. Extend when things get too hairy.

Many would argue this is not dweebish, just flying smart.

Option 5:  Nazi Furballer.  Stay under 5k and fly to the nearest uber furball.  Twist and turn as long as possible, and try to get a few kills before someone invariably "picks", "HO's"  or "Ganbangs" you.  Rabidly complain/moan/bellyache all who kill you on Ch 200.... Also be sure to tell everyone that your playing style is the correct way to play, and all others are dweebs for not realizing it.

:-)  Incidentally, I've been calling those types "Turntards" for years.  

Any fool can pick a good turnfighter, put a baddie on the lift vector, pull back,  and ride the stall horn.  Takes a lot more skill and SA to predict where someone will be in 15-20 seconds, and "be there" on the money, with a massive amount of smash (well IMHO anyways).

Besides, if the Energy Fighters (aka Alt Monkeys) are such dweebs, why not take say, a {insert uber plane of choice} up to 25k, and get a boatload of easy kills ???

Very true, honestly what are they going to do? Call you a noobie dweeb, far as i'm concerned i think were all a bit of a dweeb. Were playing a game when we could be out at a gym, beach in the sun or just out of the house.

But when you do HO someone that has a rep for being mouthy click to 200 as fast as possible.
