There was one I knew that flew for a while. She was pretty shy about talking on vox though, rarely talked.

not that it has too much to do with this thread, but do you know that the Air Force Thunderbirds have 2 female pilots? the first one, Capt. Nicole Malachowski also got her start in CAP. she was also the first ever female fighter pilot appointed to a military show team. we were actually able to get one of our female cadets from our CAP squadron a 1-1 interview with her.......VERY cool.....

I would love to get some of them into flying Aces High! ;)

Hi 1ltcap! Nice to meet you John

I was aware that Capt. Nicole Malachowski is a BA member and got her start in CAP but I didn't know there were two of women flying in the Angels.

It's ironic but I was also a member of CAP many moons ago, when I was still in middle school (I was an Air Force brat), but unfortunately they didn't have a plane to fly of all things so I dropped out after a short time.

I think most people are shy about using a radio at first, I know I was too.
I remember my first flying lesson and I had to talk to the control tower...
YIKES it scared me to death... but eventually I got over that.
Now you can't shut me up :rofl

Although vox doesn't work when I run my H2H arena due to the NAT router so I have learned in the forum.

Women on AH
« Reply #25 on: August 31, 2007, 09:07:06 PM »
Actually, it's freakin' embarassing watching the "men" on AH fall all over the women.   The overt flirting makes me laugh out loud.  Many's the time my squad and I were listening to some poor AH pilot sweet talking the local woman on range.....

Good God men!   Let them fly in peace.

actually it's the Thunderbirds........Capt. Malachowski is Thunderbird 3, and Maj. Samantha Weeks, is Thunderbird 6......she's also the opposing solo, which i think is one of the harder positions to fly.

You used to be in CAP?? dam!!! re-join!!!:D  you've no idea the fun you're missing......i'm mission qualified scanner, and in about 3 weeks will be qualified observer.....working next on mission transport pilot..it's just been taking awhile, because i keep getting distracted by making sure the kids are learning/having fun.....htese cadets are the only kids i have...so i have 17 kids, once a week for about 2 hours. i've had em flying r/c models at our club, working on model rockets now, and teaching em about homeland security. soooo much to do.....and soooooo fun.....

ooo...and very nice to meet you too.....i fly rook in both LW arenas, and knight in MW and EW........

if i do this right, here's a pic of each of the thunderbird women.......
