Acer Aspire 3000 and internal wireless
« on: September 01, 2007, 01:59:20 PM »
DOH

My internal wireless on my Acer laptop decided to not connect to my access point anymore. It cannot see my AP, but yet is is still enabled.

I tried my Orinoco  PCMCIA card and that works great. Is there another setting that I did not see or has it let out the magic smoke and kicked the bucket

Have you tried reinstalling or updating the drivers?
I had a similar incident happen and I had to uninstall the device and reinstall it then reinstall the drivers. This was for my usb ports when i upgraded to a new MB, CPU and memory.
All works great now
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

Make sure you reboot the wireless AP and router too...  Usually when I can't connect, rebooting the wireless AP fixes it.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

I may as well call myself related to him.

My internal wireless on the laptop was switched off for about 5 months while the entire time I couldnt understand why it quit working.  I was using my Orinoco card for wireless internet.
