Hello All,

My Squadron has been ordered to come in here and shoot you guys down for 2 weeks as we evaluate AH, and consider moving here.

I am having a few problems I was hoping you could help me out. As I log into the Splash screen, My clipboard appears to be flickering. I also get Blue flashing screen while in the game. I have limited the frame rate to 60, and reduced the essentials, But this is concerning to me.

In the other games I am able to run all high graphics and still maintain frame rates higher than most say they do.

I am running AMD3700 X2, 2 gigs rams, 7000GT video.

Any idea what I have set wrong. Surely This is enough machine to run all the eye candy.

Also, almost every time I try and change my Video settings, the game locks up when I hit ok. Then I have to power down to reset.

try unchecking hardware vertex processing, optimize terrain, and optimize  objects in the video settings on the AH main menu:aok

Thanks alot Guys,

The Dual Core patchs worked perfectly. I ran all high graphics last night with only minimal frame stutters with a frame rate around 150fps

not to be a party pooper but BBS rule don't allow pictures as a signature. It was getting carried away, so they requested nobody do it.

BTW, welcome to Aces High, hope you guys hang around

Yea BK, Im running High res at 1680X1050. I might need to reduce the res, I cant read the name icons or plane ID's in the air. Everyone else says its crystal clear, But they are unreadable even at D2.

You can increase the size of your icons as well as try the color of the icons.

Bring up the clipboard while in the game and click on options then perferences, then GUI.

I think that's where you can change the icon size.

Hey Badair, I though you was overseas protecting our freedoms. Welcome home. Anyway, yes, I like most of what I see. Looks to me like compression is set a little high, and I hate the inflight Dar, but what are ya to do. I did several maneuvers last night that would have certainly ripped my wings off in other sims. Yet I walked away without a scratch. Then "Oldman" showed me it didnt really matter. LOL

Thanks again,

Changed the font to 12 and can see the icons fine. But I guess I still have a problem. The flickering I was seeing was the page on the clipboard spinning. Real fast on the spash screen, and slower on the clipboard in the tower. It wasnt doing this last night, and I have changed no settings other than the font. Any ideas whats up here. I dont notice any problems inflight as of now.

are you running Vista? If you are, you'll have to set the AH2 exe to run in winXP mode.
