I am interested in AH, but am not sure about required internet connection.  I live in the sticks and have few options.  Will dial up work okay?  Thanks

yes dial-up works fine, What you need is a steady connection. Google Ping plotter, install it, the ping the ma arenas at 206.16.60.39 let it run for a few minutes and watch to see if you have big packet loss, or jumps in the ping times. Anything under 200ms is good, under 100ms is great, as long as it stays steady, you should be good

Anything under 300ms is good.

Skuzzy's internet connection tips are a good place to start for info...

I've been playing dialup for mebbe 8 years, ping is usually 180-220 ms, works fine as long as kid isn't on her @$#$@$@#$$ myspace account on latop

I had the best luck with a 5686E USR external modem (around $100) , make sure its the serial port model and not the usb one . I had consistent ping's of 140 sometimes 130ms. It's one of the best on the market .
