I don't follow the logic. When I was a kid the people that I aspired to be like were men, not women. Do you think girls want to dress like Britney Spears or GI Joe? Why do you think that females are used to market to girls, certainly not because Madison Ave. thinks that all girls are gay.
AFAIK there is no regulation on specific attire for travel. Do you have a link to some travel regulation? Would you rather she be required to wear a burka?
I think this is an example of socialist thinking. There doesn't have to be some government law or regulation dictating this. A private company should be able to have whoever it wants on it's planes. Surely you decide who you want on your own private property. An airline that served my needs as traveler and a parent would be more likely to get my business and flourish. If I am alone in wanting fellow travelers to have a degree of decorum than I would be **** out of luck.
Either any rules and regulations regarding who is on a plane, should be up the owners of the plane.
