6 kids, 6 moms

Stupid.  He learned some important lessons.

1.  Pick your wife wisely.
2.  Have kids and be their father, not a sperm donor.

I have no pity for some moron fathering 6 kids with 6 women.  I am sorry, but he wasn't in love with those women....he was playing and didn't give a dang about the resultant kids.

Perhaps others can learn from his errors.

They caught up with my father. Who hadnt paid in at least that long.
My sister was just about to turn 18
And I was already out of the house and married for 2 years when they caught up with him.

Made him pay back every penny too.
They gave him two choices.
Pay the money or go to jail.
Not working wasnt an option either. He had to come up with the cash if he was working or not.

My mother had long since stopped thinking about it when all of a sudden she started getting checks in the mail from the state. LOL

Greed on the part of the mother of the child in a divorce is among the ugliest and most disgusting things you'll see. And the child rarely ever gains anything from the greed of the mother.

I moved in with a buddy of mine who was divorced, as his brother had bailed on him, leaving him with plenty of bills, and no extra income. My buddy had two sons, who lived with their mother, in an expensive condo. My buddy was living in an old farm house that barely had indoor plumbing, electricity, and a phone.

One Friday, I brought my bosses race car and rig home with me, so I could take it to the track Saturday afternoon, and not have to drive out of the way. My buddy's wife brought the boys to the house for the weekend. By Monday afternoon, she had filed papers demanding more child support, since my buddy now evidently had enough money to own a race car, a truck and a trailer.

I actually had to go to court and testify that even I didn't own the race car, truck, or trailer, it was my boss's, and not mine or my buddy's. I actually did an afternoon in jail for contempt over it. Her lawyer accused me of perjury, out right calling me a liar and a thief. When I told him "I am neither, nor am I a lying, scum sucking, bottom feeding lawyer, in the employ of a greedy low life potato, as well as a common SOB", the judge told me "one more outburst like that" would land me in jail for contempt of court. Having lost an entire day's pay, for no valid reason, I told the judge "I have nothing but contempt for any court that would allow her and her lawyer in it". So I did an entire afternoon in jail until a lawyer (and former judge) friend of Dad's heard about it and told the judge he'd made a major mistake.

My wife's first job with the state was to deal with REAL dead beat parents who had money to pay legitimate amounts of child support. I know full well what a real dead beat is. I also know full well how screwed up the system really is.

Good for you!
I can respect a man who is willing to stand by his principles even in the face of jail time.
I probably would have done the same.

As for your wife. I am glad to see you say "dead beat parents"
I've known several divorced people. It has been my observation that whomever doesnt have the kids tends to become the dead beat reguardless of sex.
Thing is the woman is usually the one that gets the kids.
But of the ones I've seen where the man has gotten custody. The women have been just as likely to not pay support.

The difference seems to be that with men. they generally dont care and would just as soon the ex not give them any money.
With most of them saying. "I dont want anything form her. Not a penny. All I want from her is gone"

Honestly, I was mostly just pissed off. The guy called me a liar, and had no proof. I was just as much young and hot tempered as I was anything.

Yep, losing your job due to injury will get your child support obligation re-calculated. I bet this guy didn't want to waste money on an attorney lol.

Geez Virgil I'm not sure but I think you even beat my line.

At the custody hearing this was my exchange with my ex's attorney

'So do you think that (deleted) is a good mother'
'No I don't'
'Do you think she's capable of raising a child in a healthy enviornment?'
'I don't think she's capable of raising a goldfish'

The judge laughed :)

When we were in Lafayette LA. visiting grand kids we watched the local news. Every week they had a most wanted broadcast. It was all dead beat dads, some of whom owed more than $100K. They went out as reporters and found some of them themselves and did interviews. They then reported on the arrests and how much they had to pay to get out of jail as well as the payment that went to the ex the next month.

They found a couple of the dads still running the same business they had when married and not making payments. Some tried to hide their assets by transferring them to the new wife yet still handed out business cards showing it in their name.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
