Rabbidrabbit and Curval hit the links
« on: September 13, 2007, 05:36:50 PM »
Unfortunately I totally forgot to wear the pink shorts...sorry Storch.  ;)

Rabbidrabbit hits

Then Curval

We didn't play all 18.  After 9 holes we decided to go to the beach club and grab a bite to eat.  Rabbid left the island a few hours later.

Good fun man...we will do it again someday.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

I have my commemorative pink shorts hanging on the wall.

Thanks again for the fine hospitality Curval.  I could not have asked for a finer host.

Maybe I can play the Bill Clinton to you and Storch?  I've had the pleasure of enjoying the company of you both.

And thus if you ever find yourself on his 6 in the game you will notice he would tend to break to the right.

It was a sucky swing.

It started by pouring on us then heated up to the 90's with about 100% humidity.  Combine that with a pretty bad sunburn from too much swimming and a back that was killing me I was ever so happy this was the ninth.  That beach club was looking way better than the next nine...>

I'm sure you are right about the shoes but the club did not have any rentals in my size.  I guess they are used to tiny euro style feet!  Nice set of Callaways for clubs though.

It still probably would be a sucky showing..  I faded hard on the last couple of holes.

exactly what I was thinking....

rabidrabbit, no disrespect honestly...

I know I swing hard, and I truly suck. I have never shot below 100 for 18, but I "know" what I do wrong, I just get competitive. a great example is me an JB42 playing a BUNCH of times. starting about 5 years ago we have golfed together probably 30+ times.

1 time with redtop is a great example. I was DEAD hung over from a night of drinking mead until 4 AM at the AH con, then at the course 7:30 AM with those guys. Redtop is a probably 2 handicap golfer (sorry redtop if that is off just a guess) steve, well, he can golf great, and bad, he has some rough times, then great shots. anyway, this day I went though a lot of bad shots, the on the 18th, into the water. a HUGE par 5, and I jokingly asked for a mulligan :D I actually was getting annoyed at being out driven on every hole and just said F it and hauled off about a 150 yard off line slice. anyway, they play legit, and I played my shot from the tee box instead of the water hazard drop by choice just because it wouldn't hurt and game a chance at mental redemption, popped a drive out there oh 260 or so, 3 wood onto the green (FAR edge) and 3 putted for a par if i hadn't "gone for it" at the beginning.

another time after that I held a 2 stroke lead on steve after 16 holes, looking at shooting under 90 for 18 holes.... I put up a 12 and 11 on the last 2 holes going for difficult shots, and swinging too hard.

it's funny how you can remember distinctly specific shots / holes / and even rounds of golf.

anyway to the point (sorry for that stroll down memory lane) you really swing fast and low. with that swing it really puts a lot of torque on your stance, and throws your alignment off balance.

it's funny those who can't do teach. I totally see and know what I "should" do in golf but can't deliver. maybe I have coordination issues, or something else, whatever LOL. without decent deep spikes your swing will almost always throw you off balance. you'll come over the top, duff behind, whatever but not a solid hit.

oh well thats my thoughts.
I don't know what to put here yet.
