Video freeze
« on: September 15, 2007, 11:43:21 AM »
Was updating MB other day (ASUS K8V-mx)---TONS of grief with new drivers, (alas, unless you manually EXPORT the old drivers, they lost forever) Asus has a zillion, and I cant be sure which one it is, sans process of elimination. What happens is video freezes for 10-15 seconds or so (doesn't seem to be dependent on environment).....get 50+ frames most any time.

ASUS K8v-MX/ Atlon 3200
GEforce FX5700
1 gig ram

As I observe this more and more, it's not a video freeze ,whole PC/processor is freezing, and it happens outside of AH---harder to notice when loading web page dialup, but flying near ground at 400 mph makes it stand out a bit. Quite certain it isn't a heat thing...sigh
