Deep thrombosis, I seem to recall the 'coach syndrome' being.  Having to do w/ clots from sitting motionless for too long.

I think it's remarkable that nobody has commented on the unanswered question: Did he drop any good loot?

Every time I read about another marathon gamer dieing, I'm reminded of a sci-fi book I read long ago (in the dark pre-internet ages) about people who would plug their brains into a computer network and get so caught up in it that their bodies would waist away.

Once again, fiction becomes reality.
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.

I saw a documentary where 4 or 5  six year old children stayed down in the basement and played WOW for days so that they could build enough points so that they could be strong enough to defeat their nemesis.

They stayed playing long enough they got fat and acne filled...  It was just gross... and for what?  Video game justice?

IIRC, one of their moms was allowing it to happen, to the extent that she'd bring a bed pan for her son to defecate in.  It was sad, and I believe it happened right here in Colorado somewhere.
