I'm not very smart so I cant find it on the search button, but arnt bomb loads limited to 2000 lbs (why?), and if so why does the 17 get 24 100 lb bombs?

you can take 2 1k eggs and one 500lb egg in the p47 for a total of 2,500lbs.

The JU87 has a big ole' bomb that's just shy of 4,000 lbs.

The lancaster has a 4,000lbs bomb option.

I'm not really sure what you are asking here.

Don't believe so, Lancaster carries 14 1000's and as the option for a 4000 with several more 1000's.

The limit you're thinking of is that one bomb will not exceed 4,000lbs. Meaning no nuke, no Tallboy, no Grand Slam.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

Oh yeah, I forgot I posted this. Ooops

Yes the 4k bomb limit was what I was thinking of, but the real question now is why arn't we given larger bomb loads, theoretically the 24 and 17 could carry 8000 lbs of 100 lb bombs

Also location: Tulsa

I believe this was a balancing tool seeing as hardnesses aren't realistic either.

You might want to recheck your sources if you think the 17 and 24 could carry 80  100lbers.:)

The interwebs lie? thats unpossible!

But no really some searches for B24 say the max load was 8k.  And I had to memorize it and other stuff for when I had to give tours when Lil was still wintered in Tulsa.  If you can find me wrong please show me where.

Didn't look it up for the 17 other than Wiki, don't care about them as much. :D

You said it could carry "8,000lbs of 100lbers" meaning 80x100lb bombs. That's what he's pointing toward you being wrong for. There were only like 20(?) racks to mount bombs to.

Darn you solid matter!!! Defeated once again by my greatest enemy!

Also I found somewhere that you could add more weight to it by adding wing points.(?)
