Thats it, if you have never seen it, it is well worth the money.

The book was a good read as well.

The book is much more entertaining than the TV series.

Recently watched Flyboys - even my girlfriend was laughing at the ridiculously unrealistic dogfights. That bit when the lead character does a 'Maverick' using his tail-wheel as you would use a filleting knife on a fish was great. :D

Thanks Hollywood, but no thanks.
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

Derek Robinson - the author of 'Piece of Cake' has done several great books based on WW2 RAF and WW1 RFC pilots. Highly recommended.

I took my handle from the squadron leader in his first book, 'Goshawk Squadron'.

The BoB movie is actually very very good, and well looked into.
Even today, the only factor where Hollywood would top it would be in the animation department.
I'd love to see a BoB movie though. Wouldn't have to be that script, and should rather be made by non-Hollywood. Say Anglo-German co-op?
Anyway, the best BoB stuff seen since that movie is Dark blue World.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
