Author Topic: AH minimizes unexpectedly (Read 237 times)

I've have a new computer running XP (clean, up-to-date install), and Aces High is minimizing (collapsing to the task bar) unexpectedly on me. Any ideas on where to look to solve this? It's dangerous when it happens in flight.

Even though you say it's a clean up to date install it still sounds like antivirus or other process. Open task manager, see what's running and periodically taking processor cycles for starters.

If you accidentally hit either of the two 'Windows' keys, on either side of your spacebar and next to the 'ALT' keys, it will take you back to your desktop and Aces will minimize.

If that's what you're doing, you can disable them using a reg patch. Do a search for 'Disable the windows key' and you should find the patch (s). If you can't, post here and I'll upload them fer ya.

I have had this same issue on a number of computers. Doesn't happen a lot, but it has always happened when i was pressing a specific button on my joystick that is mapped to the clipboard 'esc' key.
