Multiple Vox channels

Would be a great tool for the mid to larger size squads if they could have multiple vox channels. It gets kinda crazy with 15, 20 or 25 guys on one channel.
Main Vox (our squad uses 132 for example)
Alpha Vox
Bravo Vox
Charlie Vox
Wingman Vox

Squads could then assign squadies to a certain channel. If someone needs to communicate with everyone they can use the Main vox channel for their squad and then just key map the other sub channels. Would really help with the communications.

Yes I am aware of Team Speak and other gaming communications software, but they don’t work for everyone. It would be so much easier if AH had some built in multiple vox channels.

I'd even settle for a wingman channel.

If you .wingman gameid you'd automatically be tuned direct to him as your wingman.

As a squad we've grown to have 2 wing or squads now.  The 187 Division and A.U. 30 Division of the Arch Angelz.  We have 3 channel of possible vox.  Each division has its own default red squad vox which makes for 2 seperate channels, and then we use a public vox channel like channel 101 so we can all talk together.  Be nice to have multiple voxs programed like text channels.  Be nice to be able to squelch out range sometimes.
The AArch AAngelz is its own country, we owe loyalty only unto ourselves and those we fly with at the moment.---AAolds AArch AAngelz XO.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.

Brilliant idea.  Would you be able to toggle in between vox's or would you have to select the vox you wanted each time?

button T: main/squad vox

button A: Alpha vox

button B: Bravo vox

button C: Charlie vox

button W: Wingman vox

A toggle would be best so you would be selecting the vox channel you want to tune to. Other wise you would be hearing everyone on all the channels.

so how is that diff from typing .radio 5 168    or .radio 5 4?

maybe i'm just a quick typer, but it only takes me moments to change vox channels.

I do about 50 to 60 words a minute and would hardly touch it at all with the above setup.
I have had players tell me, and at least one squadie that they don't touch the keyboard when they play Aces High unless it is to type a message.

Besides the addition of this is simply a tool to make communications easier for the mid to larger size squads. Those without several friends or squadies to talk to would find this of little use.

I can never get used to having all my buttons on my joystick...I always, ALWAYS revert back to buttons such as Q and W...no matter what I do...

Spikes maybe your a minimalist like me. To me the keyboard is always easier.
Its even labeled!

:)

Use the joystick for controlling the airplane, use the keyboard for everything else.

I've gone the other route and labeled my x-52 pro for as much as I can. radio is about all that I use the keyboard for.
