sorry i didnt get film i was tryin to get it on when an a-20 reversed and chased me to the deck so i pulled max g s till i blacked out and slid into the ground the a 20 on me like glue the hole time. this was the third time tonight the same pilot did this too me. i dont know this pilot and wont name him he is obviusly a good stik but there is a problem with this model at both slow speeds and high he outturned me in my fighter of choice the one i fly more than any other and have shot down alot of a-20 s in this plane .a zero is usually the only thing that can get on me that fast and i still have room to breath. i got him once out of 4 sorties and that was the hardest i have ever had to work the fm-2 to get a bomber i also blacked out that time too but was lucky and had the advantage.
i would think this is not possible and should be corrected if not i would like to know how too make this happen! ( not really i dont like cheats!) i really like the fm-2 and would be afraid too fly it anymore for fear of a sqaudron of a-20 s seaching the skys killing all fighters. im not a great pilot but i know my plane and i know the a-20 should not be capable of the things that one did.
i have a thick skin so give it too me i can take lol

The fact that you are blacking out tells me that you were playing HIS game, i.e. you were maneuvering hard at high speeds. I have regularly out turned FM2s in my P38, when they dive in on me from alt and then expect to out turn me at 300mph. Just not possible. My advice, next time slow the fight down a bit. The slower speed regime is where the FM2 shines. Also don't underestimate the A20, if its light, with no ord and has an initial E advantage (A20s can hide their E beautifully btw) the A20 can be a ferocious monster. Its got the horsepower and the guns to kill and kill quickly. In an FM2 I'd keep my speed below 200 against a A20.

i do agree with you but like i said we fought 4 times both fast and slow i won the slower fight but got out climbed from co alt and out run to th deck from co alt also in the slower fight i had help and i think they mostly got shot down. when i got on, some very good pilots that i have flown with for two years were also complaining about this a-20
i have signed on and had the best days in a fighter ever and the next day shot rubber bullets and help the score card for others over and over!
this just seemed different, like i said i wish i had got film. thought about going back up, but i was mad and tired so i guess i'll just be a little worried for a while and maybe i wont see him again for a while,lol

A-20Gs love slow fights if the pilot is good. They can climb very well and zoom climb extremely well. We all know that group of nose mounted guns is deadly also.
In these situations you really need a film to see what was going on, if anything.

who is this guy, some H2H guy? He hasn't flown in the MAs under either coba38, or cobra38 in the last couple months

cobia 38 since you all know him anyway still records and charts and grafs show this should not happen if he has a secret i would like too know it if not then salute best darn a-20 pilot ive ever seen and yet still n o record of a-20 s making fighter sweeps across enmy lines seems imposible too me germans would not have run for the hills after seeing these super fighter bombers coming!
i like too think that the fm-2 was not as good as it is in the game
yet it should not get shot down over and over buy a bomber! fm-2 did not fight in eastern theater as far as i know so no real data as to what might have happened if 190s ro 109 s met up with it adds to the chance it might have been better than most.
i have also realized that i was over confedint( sp.) and did not treat him like any other threat!! i would have went strait up for any thing i thought was a real threat! but assumeing he was just another bomber got me shot down. stupid move on my part and i dont want too take away from his skill as a pilot. and the pizza is here so that is that

There's a quoted comment about the A-20's zoom performance, although I don't know where the quote originally comes from:

I imagine that, with a bit of altitude, an A-20 could dip down and gather some energy, and then dip back up and work wonders with his nose-mounted guns, but only for a short time. Perhaps the same player would be a killer in a P-47 as well.

Well theres your problem !! Your comparing this GAME with real life. Even if the planes were modeled perfectly....which could never happen as we play in a 2D world and live in a 3D one....pilots in the GAME could pull maneuvers that real life pilots never would . The reason is if you pull too many G's too long, or loose control of your plane due to a violent maneuver you don't REALLY die. In real life pilots had to watch out for there own skin. In the game some guys do unbelievable moves because they practiced them over and over "dieing" hundreds of times were the real pilot only gets one shot to get it right.

Cobia is a very good a20 pilot.

He used to fly quite regularly(maybee 6months or more ago?) but now I only see him once in a while.

I always approach a20's with caution now

oh he's still flying, he has 268 of 342 kills this tour are in the A20.... 6 against the FM2

I ran into him and he owned me several times. Me in some spit and he in his A20. I was (still am) just a mediocre stick , but you see an A20 and you think "mmmm lunch"...not anymore.

After watching him I took it out a bit on fighter sorties and with management of E, throttle, flaps & SA, I saw a glimpse of why he was surprising guys and landing kills.
