The biggest reason the JU-87s memory lives on with any thing less then scorn to this day is its ability to make people on the ground scream and run in fear at just the SOUND of its dive. It was fitted on prepuce with a special cowling that made the distinctive howling noise that was its signature. The sound of its dive was enough to make tank crews abandon there tanks and dive in a ditch. It drove people nuts and was in the later part of the war its best asset. The 87s nickname given by the Russians was the screaming death. Could you give it its voice? Pleas!

The model 87 we have didn't have the dive siren IRL.

Sirens were only used in early war, not late war. Their psychological effect was short lived and vastly exaggerated by propaganda.
Some of that exaggerations still circulate today, as you posting clearly shows.

Here is a siren sound that I made for the JU87. Just place it in the file for that aircraft.

The siren to the Russians soon became a early warning sound to get to cover.

It may have only been effective in the early war, and it may have been exaggerated by propaganda, but during the Polish and French campaign the psychological effect of this aircraft was real, and, it was a really good dive bomber. Its signified a new kind of war that the enemy really hadn't figured out yet and it did terrify them.

The beginning of the end of the Stukas aura was in the Battle Of Britain. But the airplane still went on to blow up a lot of warships and it flew well in Africa.

I imagine by '43 each side was so freaked out over Jabos and dive bombers that a siren was useless cause everyone was watching the sky so much.

I would like to have the siren sound when the Stuka dives as well. The problem with adding the sound to your sound folder is that you are the only one that hears it.   I want the GVer I am dropping on to be able to hear it as well.
