signing off 200
« on: September 30, 2007, 05:56:40 PM »
I am signing off 200 as of 1st day of October.  I may tune infrequently but it will not be the norm.  With regard to game play channel 200 neither promotes or holds an interest for me.  Having re-tuned to 200 for 1 year I am of the consideration it's used primarily for bruised "ego's" more than enhancement of game play.  As for my ego....well that's my concern :D

If I don't salute it'll be a few reasons.  Usually the major one is I'm still in a combat situation.  Second reason will be to busy organising and thirdly I may consider the engagement not worthy or your trying to insult.  Many will know what I mean by this but some will not   This doesn't mean I won't salute when appropriate or when I can.  Just saying I may not so please don't take any great offence. :aok

Oh, any idiot PM'ing me with abuse will be screen shot and squelched.....have a nice day:aok .

Been de-tuning 200 for a while now. (pop on it every now and then) To many inmature people on 200 for my liking. It's mainly the same dozen of so, saying the same crap over and over. Sad really, with average person playing this game over 30 and they act 13.

I hope HT takes CH.1 off EW and MW for when I go in there. Sucks not being able to NOT listen to the tards in there.

or just tune channel 1 to 2

Thanks Meat, didn't know you could squelch 1. As for tuning it two, I see CH. 1 text even when none of my text boxes have it selected. I'll try the squelch thing though.

You cant untune channel 1 - tune every radio to another channel and you will still read it.
And if you squelch it, you squelch the dot salutes too

the .squelch 1 command does indeed de-tune the open channel in the other arenas.

I keep 200 tuned because I like laughing at the people that, at the moment, are more immature than me. It's also a great pass-time to calmly reply to them flipping out and make them look like even bigger tards. :noid

That definitely isn't saying I don't break out my teenage type every once in a while, though. :D Like the time that damn P-38 followed my leaking 262 back after he watched me hit (and get hit by) a set of B-24s.

I  never have  had channel 200 tuned, (4-5 yrs) I know it cuts off 2/3 of the community. I dont care what the enemy has to say, pro or con. Folks I know from the dark sides are  still reachable if I private message them. I see no reason to have 200 tuned.  I'm not sure, but from all ive heard about channel 200 thru the yrs, I would have allready had a fatal stroke or heart attack, detune 200, you'll live longer.:D

I rarely use open channel anymore, except for when I get in a good aerial scrap with someone, and send a salute and a compliment. Other times, I just use PM.

I'm with you Lynx, I was on and saw the "incident" that probably prompted (or put you over the edge) your decision to stop monitoring 200.  I've been out for 2 1/2 to 3 years and just came back last month.  I started monitoring 200 so I could say hi to folks I knew in the other countries that I hadn't seen in a long time.

Unfortunately I had the same kind of incident, not as bad as yours, but it will still drive me to not monitor 200 anymore.  Too bad too, I enjoyed listening to "friendly" banter but It definitely went over the top a couple of times.

I thought we had moderators taking care of issues like this?  If we do, I would raise the bar a little higher and zap people a little quicker.  If they don't like it, they can go play HALO or Quake on-line.

To the two people that think I'm "pathetic" --your not "aces" (thanks for reminding them Fester), your "gamers".  BTW, you can come touch my Air Medals (9) anytime you like  :p .

lynx u r such a poor sport.....

1/2 the stuff on 200 u start with your arogant knows all crap & belittling other players or in my case just to start something!

u r usually the 1st to jump on the band wagon attacking other players... usually only when u have backers!

u got jumped by other players for a change on 200, now u crying... man up!

as far as salutes go... the day i see u another player for beating u ill shave my head! u only back on your victories! u r a poor loser!

will be nice not to have your BULLOCKS on 200.... CYA
