That game is very challenging. More so with realism turned all the way up. No little icons to see the bad guys. You have to scan the sky and hope to catch a glimmer of light off their wings. The missiles don't always work the sound are amazing, the graphics are alright. The game is cheap. Check it out.

Ah, you got me there! I should have recognized it! I have Wings over Vietnam, in fact, the data window in the left bottom corner was a total give away! :p

These are from last night. An armed recon mission in a pair of OV-1D Mohawks. Good times. What I love about this game is while it is not really 100% realistic it still has things very few games do. Most games have little quick 30 min missions. This game does too. However, if you want you can fly a 3 hour mission like this one was last night.

These shots were from earlier in the mission, while we were still in friendly airspace. What you are not seeing is us do, is hugging the ground, zig zagging though enemy air defenses to reach our target. It was challenging to say the least.

He said it was a OV-1D Mohawk. :)

It is impressive looking - never seen one before.

They are really neat airplanes. A guy at the field I fly out of has one. Here is a little info on the aircraft.
http://www.ov-1mohawk.org/
http://www.airheritage.org/ov1.html
http://www.globalsecurity.org/intell/systems/ov-1.htm

And here are two for sale.

They are no longer in use by the US Army. The last mission flown by these type of aircraft was in 1996. Now you can pick one up for around 200K on the civil market.
