Nice, but it can't compare to the 1967 canary yellow F-100 with 6cyl, Granny 4speed, no radio, no air and more dents than Edward James Olmos' face.

She was a peach!

Congratulations Vorticon!

Much nicer than the 1960 Dodge Matador that was my first car.

1977 Oldsmobile Delta 98 Regency Brougham  was my 1st.

Was a sand beige ish color.  My friends called it the "Goldsmobile".

Last year for the cast iron .350 engines.

What a beast.

It was the only car I have owned where I could lay flat in the back seat w/o hardly bending my kness (I was 6'2" then).  O' the tales that back seat could tell........

It actually had a removable trash can under the dash on the passenger side that was quite handy.

I ramped it off a small bridge doing @ 90mph and it was airborn for a good 40-50' before it landed  (you could see the gouges where the frame hit the concrete when it landed) and the dang thing STILL ran for almost two more years (it was never quite the same after that jump tho').

I miss that car.

Picture the car below, but gold, and a Brougham.  (fancy fancy)

First car was a 66 Caprice.  Then a 65 Impala.... then 65 Buick Special,  then a 63 Impala....

And THEN...a brand new 77 Camaro Z28.     Graduation was good to me.

Gratz vorticon, brings back memories.

1972 SS nova, 350 4speed. Think I did almost as much wrenching it as I did driving it. I was tough on cars back then.:D

GL with it.

WTG!  It’s a good feeling to own your ride.

Not meant as a jab at all, but how have you managed so long without your own car?  Did you borrow?

Nice looking car there.

LOTS nicer than my first. It was a 61 Dodge Lancer with a badly burned 170 CI slant 6. The lady that gave it to me in return for having worked on it previously ran it out of oil and the engine siezed. I put 3 quarts in it and drove it home but the engine was toast. I put in a 225 CI slant six. The carb stuck up through the hood so I put a hood scoop on it to hide the hole. I drove it for 4 years and sold it for $500. It also ate clutches about every 6 weeks. I had it down to a science.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

You'll love that FWD in an Alberta winter, especially with good snow tires on it!  Congrats!

Sounds familiar, Mav. :rofl I had a 1961 Olds Delta 88 4-door that had a 455 dropped in it.  The link below shows me putting speakers in the back of it in 1974 (I had a farmers permit to drive) ;) http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL767/2726312/14205248/229161898.jpg
