aircraft chronologies
« on: October 08, 2007, 05:39:18 PM »
Working at museums before, I've had the great opportunity to get into their archives and read about aircraft as my heart desires.

I stumbled across a copy of 'Spitfire: The Operational History" and was I ever impressed. It had the serial of almost every, if not every Spitfire in wartime service!

And I was wondering if there was an F4U version of such a book or website, as I'm trying to figure out the most detailed modifications made to the Corsair, including if the F4U-1A's of VF-17 operating off land bases during late 1943 had water-injection systems as well as the US fuel grade equivalents to RAF fuel.
