I try not to lump mysekf in either category, but find my self going with Republicans more often than not.
I'm a big fan of:
Lower taxes
National Security
Border Security
Uncle Sam not telling me what I can and cannot do in my home
I'm not a big fan of:
Gov't hand outs
---Personal sidenote(s) here, In college I used to deliver Pizza for Domino's. We were the only pizza place in town that would still deliver to "the hood". I would pull up to, well let's call them gov't housing, and park beside an Escalade with 26" rims and a sound system that cost moe than my truck, knock on the door, have to wait for the smoke to clear so that the thug wearing Tommy Hillfiger clothes and his Timberland boots and a chain that cost more than I made in a month could whip out the roll of cash out of his pocket, flip through the hundreds to get to a twenty to pay for his $18.98 pizza, and then wait for the change (I was always sure to give him his two pennies while I was at it).
--- In high school I worked as a bagboy at a grocery store. Nothing made me any happier than to see Mrs. Mom rollup to the register with 2 buggies of groceries and pull out the food stamp card, complain about the cost of the food, then whip out a hundred to pay for her beer and cigarettes. And then I walk out and put her groceries in here brand new SUV.
