Some things OK...others...
« on: February 11, 2000, 12:18:00 PM »

Well now Im a suscriptor, I want to say some things I like and some that I dont....
lets start from the bad side

1:-I HATE people that is doing nothing while someone is in my six and says nothing nor warns me...It seems that here you only help your friends, while I always warn EVERYBODY in my country. This has leaded me to change country more than a time.

2:-I HATE being shooted while chuting...I see it like a cowardice.

3:-I HATE the F4U breaking away in 6 G dive's pullouts. I have evidence of a Corsair's pilot that got compression while diving...he managed to pull his plane out ofd the dive...but he BROKE many bones while doing it, and had a neck problem also...his F4U was flying the next day with another pilot. PLEASE fix this bug.

4:-I HATE lag problems (hehe I know this is nothing of HTC but I still hate it   )

5:-I HATE that radar-controlled ZSU-23s...The modern Shilkas are less deadly!!!. I also HATE the 35K B-17 bombing with Laser-Guided-Bombs...

These are 5 of my hates..there are many more but enough for now...lets start with the lovs

1:-I LOVE the sim itself. Its great!...
2:-I LOVE and appreciate the hard work done by HTC
3:-I LOVE paying only a flat price
4:-I LOVE the F4U-D (yep you'll think i'm mad...but I shoot like a cow, so is better to have fast firing guns   )
5:-I LOVE the films of Hristo vs Hang...AMAZING
6:-I LOVE the future inclusion of land warfare...but only if you put the ack in a reasonable level.
7:-and I LOVE the future training arena...for sure I need it!!!!!

Thks for your time...see ya in AH

I'll only comment on number one. This is not meant to be a flame or antagonising reply.
In a general melee arena the other players aren't your wingman.  You really can't know why they didn't call out the enemy closing on your six but at the same time you can't fault them for it even if you knew they knew a bogy was climbing up on your six. That's expecting folks to "play" your way. I make the calls when I can because I like to. I never expect anyone else to in return. I do appreciate it when they do but I never fault someone for not having done so either.

What I would recommend is join a squad. the teamwork and organisation is what you sound like you want. Or even start one of your own if you choose.  Then if they do not call your six you  have a valid complaint

Cc Ram,

Its a lot of fun and although there are things that you dont like, well.....there will always be things that some dont like.

My experience with HT and crew tells me that this sim is alive.  Always getting worked on and additional features are always coming into the sim.

Its a living breathing machine.  Stick with it and you wont be disappointed.

You are a good sim flyer with a lot of potentiol!

Westy, I just read your post.  Calling 6s is not a requirement but I personaly ask the favor of you calling my 6 and I will return the favor to you!  Building a solid team depends alot on working together.  Even if your just out for a quick spin, please call 6s if you see em.

Consider it a community service.  It builds respect and confidence from others.

Cya soon,
Yeager

What's wrong with pulling 6gs while pulling out of dive?

I agree with westy. I don't expect anyone to call my six. That is a luxury not to be taken for granted. As a matter of fact it doesn't bother me a bit when I get killed by a con when none of my countryman warned me.

My six is my responsibility.

Flying with RAM A few weeks ago, I asked him about checking out JG2, but I got no reply.  I took that as he was not intrested.  He loves that HOG so maybe a F4U squadron would fit his liking.

PS To the F4U squadrons, RAM is a very good pilot.  I would fly with RAM all day if I had the opprotunity to.  Calls "6's",  always pointing out cons.  Excellent wingie!!  RAM is great on the guns!

To RAM, Even though we fly mainly LW A/C for squad night, please give JG2 a look!  Hey RAM!  I fly the Spit alot!  Imagine the raised eye-browes there!

Salute  RAM!!!

RAM,

I will appologise for not being able everyone's 6, it is not a matter of willing...just  a matter of bad typing, using right hand on joystick (trying not to smash down in that *&%^%$^ ground) and using the left one on the throttle...
Either I need a secretary, either we need voice comms...Trying my best to do it though...

TOTALY agree about chute shooters !!!

TOTALY agree on the fact : I love the sim !!!

To reiterate what Swager said, most JG2 fly what they want, squad night might be an exception, with most of us flying LW aircraft.  Come join us Ram!

hblair you are absolutely correct!

Let me add however that calling 6s for friends is good form.  That it is good for the whole team.  It is a highly recommended practice.  Calling 6s for your team mates demonstrates that you want them to survive and that you would be totally thankful for a buddy to give you a warning as well.

Heres a motto good for everyone:
"Help me fix, call my six"

To Swager:
Hey, thks...but I'm not that good at the guns anyway, unless firing at unmanouvering planes...hehehe

To Westy:
I always give 6 calls when I can. I understand people that dont do it when busy, but no a guy 5K over me who's doing nothing and knows I am in danger...I don't expect everybody covering me but I do expect some help from my countrymen...and a HOG has a bad rear view...

To Crash:
What I mean is that the F4U breaks its wings VERY easyly, and that's not realistic. In Fact the Corsair standed loads bigger than 11G, so a F4U ripping its wings at 450 MPH and 6G is simply not realistic.

To Ripsnort.
I love the F4U, but anyone who knows me well knows that my favorite plane is the Fw190A-4...and I like also Me109G-6...but they are Experten fighters, and Im only a lost novice, without even rudder pedals   ...The Hog is also a difficult plane but is easier to ride it in combat (and you'd never want to see me trying to land in that beast),as is a great E-fighter with diving (escaping) qualities...
I'd love joining JG-2 but I'm on the opinion that a squad must have its personality and not doing exceptions to one pilot...the pilot must fly the same plane as his mate's...I hope to learn how to fly the G-6 (Hristo made me love that plane with the films) and then I will thing seriously in joining JG-2...

Oh! RAM cut JG2 a break!!

Learn to fly the FW190 with the rest of us! I auger the 109 more than the enemy kills me in it!

RAM!  I suck flying the FW190 and ME109!  But I'm learning.  Weazel spends most of his time shooting cons off my back!

Many of JG2 are learning the LW iron!  They are difficult airframes to master but I can think of no better way of learning them, than to fly with JG2!

Hey!  Don't get me wrong, I do get kills, but when the going gets tough, I start to fluster.  Right DocYO???

RAM! Check out the damn website!!

PS  RAM! Never HATE anything; Just dislike things alot.      Hating things waste too much energy!!

Ooooops!  Forgot to mention there are some member of JG2 that fly the LW iron extremely well!  To a point where it is almost scary!

If you can fly a FW190 in AH with success, almost everything else seems "uber"...no lie! Try doing 20 or so hours in this beast!
