Author Topic: Fun fights last night at A55 in LW (Read 373 times)

Hey guys,
I'm not typically a 'furballer' but I guess A55 became the center of a 'fightertown' style furball last night on that map that is one big landmass.

I flew into that mess a whole handful of times, always starting out as a nice comfortable alt-monkey, but always ending up on the deck twisting and turning with the horde.

Man, I had a lot of fun. I can't speak for everyone else, but I didn't get HO'd a single time, and in one case, two planes came right by my canopy in succession, one was NoviChe (we lightly banged into each other) and neither pulled the trigger which surprised me. Except for the suicide 190A8 that kept trying to vulch the field with all the ack up and about 50 friendly cons around (and was good for one kill and an assist- woot!), it seemed like a pretty good furball.

Even more, there was alot of good sticks on, although fortunately they were all on the green side. I saw Hub, 999000, and even Kermit (fighting like Tom Cruise in the movie The Last Samurai surrounded by red guys). Saw SASKID in his P-40 a number of times (sorry I never got to shoot you down). And there was alot of really funny banter on 200, no whining that I noticed.

Overall a really fun night. I didn't get lot of kills but got about 10 assists. It was hard to stay with anyone long enough to get the kill shot, it was really chaotic and my gunnery sucks.

Ya, I saw that mess... I did a few sorties there, but opted to have some great fights at V11 and V46. Ogie and Axer schooled me (no suprise), BW21 showed me some lead, and blondy and I danced 1v1 several times. I salute you all..

Overall I ended up on the plus side, but only because of sheer luck and a squadie or two..

That furball had been going on for 2 days. I've poked my head into that one a few times over the past two nights each time furballing in a 190A-8. It's the new fighter town (the three center bases on mid-mesa).

I ended up being the only rook in that fight every time I was there for some reason, and died alot so I logged off rather than get mad.

My P40 O doom was alight that night until I met Shreck and Winstone's D3A's with no E.

In other words it was a great furball/200 experience...

In other words I got to pull about 700 7.9mm bullets out of my fuselage of my P40.

If you are into furball's that map always has the best one. It's about the only map I'll actually head to the furball, most others I skim the outer realm looking for fights.

For whatever reason that map always has a good FB. Too bad it always gets reset real fast.
