Honestly,

That’s about as good of a picture that anyone could take of a broom; very nice job.  Its one problem is that it’s just a broom; it can only be so worthy of framing and hanging.  Even if you do sell some broom pictures; I think that you could do much better with another topic.  I think you will own your Canon 30d relatively soon.

Cav could hang a picture of a broom in his cabin, after all, if I remember right the wall decorations needed updating.  :D

Every picture tells a story....

Some fella was sweeping the floor and when he finished he leaned up against the wall, putting one foot on the wall, while he pondered his next task.

Nice pic and very interesting

I'd say the subject isn't a broom.  I'd say the subject is light and shadow and texture.

I agree but I think light, shadow, and texture should be a medium and not a subject.

thanks again all.  i actually still use that broom in my studio...it just got it's first duct tape surgery.  sadly, it won't last much longer...but it's had a very long life.
when things get that old it's more a portrait than a still life.  heh...

had this one printed this one too.

The water is interesting 88 but I like to see the waves crashing in from a broader perspective.

Great texture and lighting.  That one's a keeper.

JB...check out this site.  Someone I know set it up for artists to sell their stuff online.  Don't know if you are interested but thought I'd put it out there in case:
