Consider this. I am on level terrain. I have my graphics turned to where they should be. I see nothing but hedgerows and the occasional tree top all around me.
Dweebygamer1 is sitting 1.0K away, and has his graphics turned down. Because of this, he clearly sees me as I am trying to figure out which direction to go to get out of my maze of hedges and trees.
He fires. Because of the arc in his shell's trajectory, it goes over all those hedges that are between me and him. It hits near me.

NHawk, you are just being foolish. Try re-reading what I wrote.
I am not talking about angles. I am not talking about shooting through objects. It is all about line of sight.
If I am behind an object that obstructs your line of sight, you should not be able to see me. Period. However, the way the game is now, if you turn down the object detail, you can see me clear as day. The objects become transparent after a certain distance, but my tank does not. So, you can see me and lob shells over the objects that should be keeping you from seeing me in the first place.
You're right...I'm being foolish...I never play with graphics turned down. Yet I'll hit you because I see the top of your turret, or I see your pintle gun or the front or back of your tank, or I watched you wandering around trying to figure out which way to go and waited for you to stop moving. But your right....Your line of sight is always the same as my line of sight and you're behind hedges or some trees and...
You can't see me, so I can't see you.
Yet again...I NEVER turn down graphic detail...I DO agree that the graphics shouldn't be able to be turned down to see GVs and I posted it in the Wishlist forum, but again...if you truely have a tree or hill blocking another players shot it will block it.
But don't assume you can't be seen by those playing with graphics turned fully UP. Because when I kill someone, that's where my graphics are set...full left on both sliders.
