These were taken at about 18k....

There is a base down there!


Level flight...


Fights in this area would be driven down below 5k. :t

I can't give wind, that's up to HTC to enable it on the maps.

A very good chance of hitting the ground and going splat.

If this map goes online, I wouldn't suggest using visual references in this area. Watch your altimeter, because depending on where you are in the clouds you could go from 18k to 0k and never see the ground coming up on you until it's to late. LOL...I almost did it the first time I let the clouds fully develope (which they aren't quite done yet in the pictures).

When the co-creator (who must remain nameless until release) of this map saw the clouds he instantly named the area "skull island". :)

Point taken NHawk...  I think that weather/winds/darkness would add alot to the realism of the game. I do recall that the old AH had winds and more clouds but they (clouds) were not as realistic as what we have now.  The flying 5 grid squares to find your target socked in could be addressed otwo ways:
1. have weather forcasts available on the map.
2. have  a squaddie (or yourself) recon the target for weather prior to upping a long range buff mission

weather forecast idea showing cloud layer and altitude is a great idea.  could be incorporated into MOTD perhaps?

I'm not sure how that would work since clouds come and go, they aren't constant. One hour you could have sunny skies, the next pea soup.
