Good luck bow hunting in the morning.

I'm taking my 13 yr old son out duck hunting if the weather and waves aren't to rough.    Lake Erie can be a Biotch.

i make my own english longbows from hazel or yew.

the last one i made shot an arrow, tipped with a hardwood i obtained from Peruvian jungle indians, straight through a solid plywood door. i had to cut the arrow off on each side as there was no chance of extracting it in one piece.

i think my best distance so far with a light plastic fibre arrow was around 120 yrds. This is only about half of the range of the medieval longbows.

rough estimates from a friend who knows was that my latest bow has a draw weight of about 90-100lbs. shoot it with your right arm for a week and your triceps look deformed...

not much to shoot at in england, so i settle on paper targets or trees.

have a good hunt!

go to a soccer game, and shoot the soccer ball when one of them trying for a goal.

bet you'd have plenty of targets then. I hear tell them english dudes are kinda apey over the girly game of soccer.   :p

How you get by with that?

I think he's talking White tails..not split tails. Although I've often found that the runway that leads to the bathroom or the bar usually produces.
