  After a few brewskis and a red screen, I had a thought of some magnitude.  <get another beer>

Of course, this is only a preliminary thought and is no way made to obligate HTC at all!
A P-51 had 2 engine types.  The Allison and then the Merlin.  <correct me if I am wrong>  Lets say-for example-that there are a number of engines in the Merlin shop-->
over there.  Say 45.  And there are 100 Allisons in crates over there-------------->
(2 separate locations)  I buff the Allison Facility with-X # of BIG eggs, that leaves the 45 Merlins over.........................
 ...>
OR visa versa.  Case in point.  Option 1, there are only 45 engines left.  Therefore, as a P51 dies.....there are 44 engines left.
And these numbers dwindle as planes go down.  

  A tire factory, an assembly point, or any number of limitations might be configured to slow the sides strengths.  And too, giving a more realistic simulation......like the ball bearing factories of WWII.   

Right now the HQ, AMMO and Fuel factories play a role in game play.  I know it's a push, but it might become a more strategic and dynamic arena.  Just a thought.  (Please do not limit the thought to engines alone)      Spare Parts?   

Also, Make F1, F17 and F9 Main bases Uncapturable.  Then set aside 2 more bases to be intact for a reset.  So, A main base and 2 must be up, or a reset occurs.  
This might inhibit the 2 base vulching that goes on......for which I am both giver and receiver!
