It's a shame a technical fault decided the championship in the end.

Indeed, that would be the case if they would be disqualified, since Kimi got two mechanical DNF's this season.

Damon Hill made a good point last night.

It's funny how when Ferrari used an aerodynamic device on the their car earlier in the season that was later ruled to be illegal, they kept their points from the race and faced no sanction. There is absolutely no consistency in anything the FIA does, and McClaren paid the price this year.

FIA? Ferrari Interested Above all.

Boroda - you must have been very drunk. England lost to South Africa not New Zealand.

Bwahahahaaha!! :D Bitter man talking I see. :D

Allthough I totally agree that there's not much consistency in FIA's decisions you somehow conveniently forget the situations where McLaren got off the hook and where Hamilton got the special treatment.

Bitter? Hardly. Hamilton exceeded anyone's wildest expectations. His time will come.

But the FIA's bias against McClaren was weird.

McLaren was found quilty but because there were no evidence on how benefitted from the information recieved they remained in the series. That is pretty rich. To just loose the manufacturer points from a violation of that scale is mild to say the least.

Also lifting Hamilton back to the track with a crane was particularly hilarious aswell.

Yeah, that was VERY odd. I've been always in the thought that if an F1 car has to be lifted it is out of the race without a doubt. He really got a break there - Something that even rivals Schumachers achievements.

Industrial espionage? It was Alonso who was the culprit, not Hamilton. He threatened Ron Dennis with the information, and Ron Dennis immediately blew the whistle on his own team. What else could he do? The £49 million fine was laughably harsh, given that, as you rightly point out it was not proven that the information was used.

Either way, I'm glad that deceitful, underhand Spanish bastard didn't win.

Hamilton will win one day. Maybe even next year.

Well it is obvious that I've heard a slightly different version. As far as I know Alonso more or less had to give a statement to FIA (to protect himself) that he had some of the material in his e-mail as well and that was against McLaren's earlier statements that no information was used inside the team and that the only person that had any was fired. As that argument proved to be incorrect all I can say that only people inside the McLaren know how widely the information had spread and how it was used. When things got to that point it doesn't really matter weather the team benefitted from the info or not. It is industrial espionage and should be punished as such.

WOW what a Race!!
Dramatic!!! :D

i was hoping for Hamilton, but in the end he simply made to much
errors and lost it, but actualy he lost it really in Shanghai.
For me Hamilton is still the best, hey he is young and the future is bright.

As for Kimi Raikönen, man this guy had so much misfortune with McLaren
the last 5 years, he simply deserves the 2007 title! Congratulation!

The biggest Loser 2007 is "McLaren Mercedes", LOL they lost everything
what can be lost and have to pay an extra 100€ Million for this all :D ROFL

All in all a kewl F1 saision, didnt expected it that dramatic after Michael
Schumacher retirement. I allready cant wait to see the F1 2008 starting!

Sorry ZA or NZ... I have been shouting something about Apartheid in the window... Between 6th and 8th glass... And I posted here well after 15th glass.

What worries me is that there is a chance that Russia will be in Euro Football 2008 instead of England. Scary, isn't it?

As Pele said - Russia will be a football champion right after Brazil will be a champion in ice-hockey.
