Sound bugs in filmviewer
« on: October 23, 2007, 01:21:43 AM »
While making a video of the Der Grosse Schlag scenario I noticed a couple of pretty annoying sound related bugs in the filmviewer:

1. The playback order of vox radio is completely wrong (seems almost random) when the film is not played in 1x speed from the beginning to end. If the fast forward, direct jump (with the slider) or the new film shots functionalities are used the playback of vox radio is all wrong. It almost seems as if the viewer plays the vox radio from the beginning AND from the correct location simultaneously.

2. Most of the time the engine sound of the plane from which the film was recorded is not played at all. Sometime it does, but mostly not.

3. Weapon sound effects are not played from the plane from which the film was recorded. It would be best if the filmviewer would play the in game sounds 1:1.

4. If the film is played with less than 1x speed the vox radio playback stutters, breaks up and repeats like an old jammed lp-record. Really annoying if one has to use for example 0.5x speed with fraps to capture smooth film.

Then some enhancement ideas:
Add keyboard commands which can be used to control film and shot playback when in the full screen mode.

Film shots - Ongoing shot recording should be stopped if the user presses the stop button of the filmviewer playback controls. Currently the filmviewer operates in a pretty confusing way if stop button is pressed while a shot setup is ongoing.

Film shots - Add the possibility to use more than key frames for the camera motion. Currently there is only two - the start and end.

Film shots - Add the possibility to control the speed of the camera movement.

Film shots - Add the possibility to control the film playback speed.

It would be really great if the vox radio playback could be toggled on and off like the icons.

Enable padlock view mode when icons are off, currently it works only with icons.
