What would you say is "the best tho least used aircraft"?

In other words what planes are under-rated and under-used? Both bombers and fighters for answers. Thank you.

ME 262 would be my pick.

It's the best yet is least used. Not just because of it's high perk cost. Even though some people could fly it often, they don't.

Best but least used bombers?

There aren't any. They are just targets.

Ta 152H

Edit: This is disregarding the perked rides. The Ta has massive firepower, great range, great high altitude performance, better performance down low than the 190As, and for the past several months it's been free!

For bombers I'd say the Ki-67 or Boston.

I don't think the TA-152 is better than the 190A5.  Until you empty the wing tanks, the wings will snap off at more than 3 G's or so.  Until you are down to about 25% fuel it doesn't even turn better.

Firepower is better, and it has the old pre-update narrow cockpit bars, which are nice I'll admit.

I said for years that it wouldn't matter if the TA-152 was unperked, because it is just that awful.  Looking at the kill stats, I'd say I was right.

C.205 probably.

I haven't seen the overall kill stats lately to see if it has moved up, but in the past I think it was really underused compared to how good it is.
I don't know what to put here yet.

You'd really have to define "under used".  The 109K-4 (nee G-10) has always been under-represented vis a vis its performance.  It is an La-7 lite, but most people have no interest in flying the "second best" plane.

Other planes that are "under used" would include any of the so called perk farming planes.

Ordinarily I would say the Yak, however it seems to have become somewhat popular of late. Been running into a lot more of them, seeing more yaks landing 2 - 5 kills, etc.

C.205 if flown well is an awesome plane. Love catching a low & slow p51 and ruining his day in one.  Also my all time highest # of landed kills was in a C.205 so I'm slightly partial to it.

190A8 is the best perk farmer there is. Gives you an awesome # of points per kill, and its really not that hard to rack up a 3 kill sortie in. If you can learn its guns even a little bit. Anything that crosses in front of you should be dead.

Ok, so I should probably include the disclaimer that the Ta is only good if you know how to use it (just like the rest of the planes in this thread), but I would take it over the A5 in the MA since IMO it's more survivable and it packs a heavier punch. Ta152 isn't awful, it just has awful pilots, lol.

I think they've fixed the wings because I've never snapped them off in a 152, and I fly it a decent amount.

Comparison between A5 and Ta (turn is very close at full fuel): http://www.gonzoville.com/ahcharts/index.php?p1=190a5&p2=ta152h

Flat turn is one thing, but the roll rate is significantly higher in the Ta 152.

I love the 152 but I'd rather be in an A5 down low.

over 20k, give me the 152 but other than that.... unless you're hunting buffs....

The Ta 152 has a higher ENY rating than the Fw 190 D9, it's slower at low alt, rolls slower and has serious bugs in its handling.

The Ta 152 is best suited for something a little different, good fun, high altitudes  and hunting buffs.

The 152 also has a massively ugly cockpit.

I wish they'd fix it :cry

I agree with ghosth but would say A5 rather than A8.  Obviously depends which arena you're talking about but for LW Yak3, C205 & 190a5 would be my choice.  Middle range ENY but not US would probably be your aim. Plenty of good middle range US planes but relatively well used because of subscriber profile.

Yak3 imho is best all round fighter in AH but lacks huge popularity because of relatively low ammo count.  But if u don't spray & pray, get in close, the 20mm & x2 12.7mm are axial & closely grouped & will punch a hole in anything with a short burst. 3 kills ps is not unusual, even bombers. It's fast, nimble & great visibility.

C205 is good all rounder but doesn't excel in any one area apart from cracking climb rate. Dives well, hits hard & loads of ammo.

190a5 also not seen too often but one of my favourites.  Reputation marred by poor turn radius (like all 190s), but has roll rate which is 2nd to none and often more than compensates for poor turn with experience.  Fast roll is maintained at speeds that have many planes creaking with stress. Feels more nimble than other 190s ( I don't take extra 20mms) & can often be landed with a few kills and ammo to spare.

The cockpit of the TA-152 is actually much better than the cockpit on any of the updated 190s.  The bars are roughly twice as thick on the updated versions, which makes it very easy to lose people in them.

The cockpit is actually one of the very few reasons to choose the TA-152 over the much superior D-9.
