Looking For A Squad...
« on: October 23, 2007, 05:47:27 PM »
But this may be a bit of a... precise request?

History
My first encounter to AH was back in 2002, I was 15. (This makes me 20 now, 21 in Jan :D). I flew with a squad called Blue Thunder, who flew primarily Hog's. Went by the callsign BTHayze. Flew for quite awhile, but had to drop the hobby due to lack of money and an incompatibility issue with the gfx card, that Skuzzy tried to help me with for quite awhile with no luck.

While rummaging for something to keep me entertained, I remember AH. Hit up the website and saw AH2 was released, and so far I like it.  But, I am in need of a squad, I see BT is no longer flying and their website is down :(

Requirements

- 18+ Squad. Few exceptions can be made, but I am looking for a squad filled with mature members, and with a leadership of *adults*

- Plane specific. I have a "mastery" mindset. I like to pick something, learn everything about it in ever single situation, and master it. I'm just not a "jack of all trades" kind of guy. Sorry. I'm preferably looking for a P-38 squad. But, if none is around, we can make due ;)

- Fighters. I like A2A. If you're a fighter squad, I hope you have bomber squads or a bomber wing to protect. I like interaction with various aspects of the game.

- Missions.  Sorry, I'm not a furballer. The occasional furball is fine, but exclusively, no. I like having a set goal.

-Participates in scenerios, events, etc.

- Respectable. People who have a bad rep for crying, poor sportsmanship, etc... need not reply.

Personal Interest

For some reason, I get my jollies off on either A) intercepting bombers before they reach their target.  or B) Flying escort for bombers and protecting them. If this can be incorporated at all, that'd be awesome.

The only other thing is, I work fulltime 8-5PM EST. Then I go to class at night from 5:30- ~8:30ish EST. Mon-Thurs.  I am on from about 9PMish to 12ish Mon-Thurs... Fri (after 5pm),Sat, & Sun however are fair game and Im on all night/day whichever.

Ok, I know I have been kind pinpoint on my standards but, I know what I like. If you don't meet all of these requirements, feel free to go ahead and post anyways. I am really just looking for a good home to bond with and enjoy the skies with friendlies.

I am squad loyal, not country loyal. This means, if your squad isn't on the country I am on, I have no problem switches. I am currently Rook, but have no prob going over to be with a squad. :)

Might try the DGS Scenario Saturday afternoon.  You might even meet some people in your next squad there but be warned, it actually ran 3+ hours last Saturday.
Easy in-game again.

We have 3 diffrent wings BTW, a Fighter group, an Attack Group and a Bomber Group and 75+ members i think.

Stop by the 79th Fighter Group. We fly P47 as our host fighter. But we fly and drive anything. We are looking for a few good pilots. Are you intersted then stop in and visist our website. Take a look around and come fly with us. Some of our pilots are on during the week. Just ask one that is flying in the arena if you can fly with us during Squad. Night. All are welcome to fly with us. If you like us then get registered and get a check flight / invite from one of the Command staff of Officers. We are a fairly laid back group. We do like to take bases and furball at times. Missions varities are different every week. We are trying to increase our size to do some Friday Night Squadron Operations - (FSO). The hours you describe is fairly indentical to our flying hours. We always have members on during the week and the weekend. We are a 20+ age adult group and some adult humor is required.

Hope to see you soon !  :aok

Boxcut, check out our website, and come fly with us see what you think.  We don't typically have a set fighter, so you flying your 38 would be fine with us.  We are about 39 members strong, many of us fly that say time frame. You can find me in the MA almost everynight.  You'll have a good time.

I fly with No. 6 Squad Duxford in Warbirds. I mostly c205 and B25-H, recently started flying the 190-a8. Looking for a squad to fly with in AH. I may end up converting to AH only but for now will go back and forth between AH and Warbirds. Can't decide which is best yet.
