a lot of people have metioned that some squads are split between 2 countries and the allegations of "spying" that goes with this.

one solution is that if your in a squad, then squad members can only be in the same country as the squad leader. IE: if your leader is a bishop then u can not move to rooks unless you quit the squad.

Best I can tell, there is no requirement to indicate a chess peice when you create a squad.  If you mean if your CO is a an arena and is a nit, then all in squad must be nit then what if your CO isn't logged in?

Ya spying is lame, but this won't work...

Nice try

what country you belong to is logged so all the game has to do is check what country the squad leader is in then put you into that country.
dont need an option for the squad to be in a country when its created, would juts work of the squad leader.

if the squad leader changed country's then the squad would go with him.

Would harm the few nice guys/squads that do sometimes split up to
A) simply shoot each other down for fun or
 B) balance sides especially in the very low polulated arenas where a single squad easily makes up 80% of total population.

"Spys" however, would be totally unaffected. Shade accounts still work and it's also  easy to leave a squad and  to get back into it 1h later.

So you only hurt honest players, no one else.
Just more coding & limitations with no gain.

in other words if player xxx logs on, the system checks what squads he is in,looks up the CO then puts xxx into the country that he's CO is in.
the squad leader dosent need to be on as the system has that info allready.thats why when u log on u are put into the last country that you played with.

But I love switching countries and trying to shoot my fellow squadies down :) . There really is no 100% fool-prrof way to prevent spying forever. Spying does suck when you steal and enemy cv and instead of going on patrols looking for it they just have someone switch sides.

If we did have this then lets say you love to fly bish. You are a bish fan and detest rooks and nits. If your CO switches to rook then now you have to fly rook. Instead of fighting with them you report to fellow bish, whom you are friends with, where missions and cvs are and what rooks are planning by using the PM.

Spying happens, get over it. It happened in WWII too!

Changing country's happens, its what your SUPPOSED to do if your flying for the high #'s country, switch to the low side.

As for people switching, Its their dime, they spend it any way they like. If someone wants to buy 3 computers, pay for 3 AH accounts, so they can monitor all 3 country's, its ok. IT is THEIR DIME! They are PAYING for the privilege! Hitech is going to laugh all the way to the bank.

You start restricting what country people can fly for, and you'll lose people in droves.
