Google "Jerry Miculek". See also : "Bob Munden".

But yeah, that guy is really good.

good shooting, but what is he using?  I dont recall that much smoke when I used to shoot my 357 Ruger SA.  I'm guessing its a .38 because I dont see the amount of recoil I would expect from a 357 or a 44.

In fast draw and shoot you use wax loads. I cowboy action shooting we use lead only rounds at 1000 fps or less. We also cannot shoot like that with live roulds because it is to dangerous. The best I have done with the pig iron is 5 targets (steel plates) in about 2 and a half seconds.

The smoke is probably black powder. Wax "bullets" are often used when you're shooting balloons.

Shooting steel, like the SASS meets or the Steel Challenge, is usually done with mid weight bullets at under 1000 FPS, as stated above.

What's the point of shooting wax or plastic bullets?  Might as well have a nerf gun competition.

Crowd safety, as well as safety for the other shooters.

Cool, ain't he?

You should see and hear him make a Colt 1911 sound like a Thompson.

Those fast accurate shots he does he can do with a single action, a double action, or even a semi auto. His wife isn't REAL fast, but fairly quick and very accurate.

very cool, and fast.   around 87 or 88 I saw some stuff about quick draw contests and spent some time practicing...  actually thought I was pretty fast... never got around to entering any contest because they were never close enough...  now I'm glad I didnt... I wouldnt have done very well at all...

I wonder how many rounds he has shot in his life.
